    Declan, good point.

Langal, I agree. I think it'd be better to have Palin on, and put Obama on too. I think Oprah's demographic would love to see Palin in that setting. It'd be great for her show. But, I suppose she doesn't need any more help.

    Oprah is sexist!

The right wing has totally lost it's mind and is making themselves the laughing stock of the nation.

No one said she was sexist; where does that come from?

She is ignoring the natural curiosity of her audience (a female demographic) to visit with the first woman in a generation to be on the ballot for VP of one of the two major parties-- and the first Republican woman ever.

Anyway you cut it, that is historic. Her audience would be naturally curious. Normally she would go for it because ratings would soar.

Anyone know what she has done in past elections? They were not historic like this one. It seems pretty clear that she will use her celebrity to campaign for Obama but not use the power of her show to publicize the race.

I'd love to know if she knew Barack's intentions the last time he was on her show.

I wonder what her sponsors are saying. She could allow them both on her show-- now wouldn't that be fair?!

    Oprah, listen to Barack: "Change!"

The repubs are DESPERATE to get Palin on...and not McCain.

Hey, Maybe Oprah realizes, like the rest of the country that it is Obama vs McCain and NOT...Palin...

Just because the Repubs finally find a speaker that can awaken the blue haired convention does not mean that the VP is now a relevant position.

    LOL.

I think the stance is clear.

She wants Obama to win so she will actively work for him to win. She doesn't want to help the other candidates in any other way, so she won't let them on her show. To protect the integrity of the show though, she won't let Obama on either so it seems fair.

The VP being irrelevant is a false idea. At one time it was true, but it hasn't been the case for awhile now.

But, if you do feel it's irrelevant, you don't care about her experience or lack thereof...right?

That's how ridiculous your attack is on Oprah. she doesn't allow any political candidate on her show and all of a sudden she is discriminating against a woman.

She doesn't allow any - not democrat nor republican, yet you all want her to make an exception because Palin is a woman.

Oprah is putting country first by not using her show as a stage for politicians. And yet she's being criticized for it.

Obama put his country first as a young man by being a community organizer instead of a big shot lawyer. And he gets attacked for it.

Seems to me the only country Republicans put first is the 32% that is Republican.

I can't believe Republicans have the nerve to b**** about sexism and then complain that Oprah is wrong by not interviewing her because she's obligated to as a woman. Hypocrisy at it's finest, or worst, I suppose. Funny at least.

She's had Team Obama coming through frequently, yet refuses to interview Palin. Now tell me how that's fair. You can't.

Actually many people already stated that he wasn't a candidate at the time, but you seem to get a hard on from spouting bull****.

Stop with the nonsense. Obama has been the liberals' magical unicorn candidate since his speech in 2004 at the DNC. He has been their sympathetic, articulate figurehead candidate for President since that time. When he actually filed the papers for President, it was hardly a surprise. In fact, it was like 'what took so long'. Guess he had to sneak in a couple of Oprah visits before it was too late...

Does that include the time Hillary was at 48% and Obama was at 21% among Dems?
