Is he going to keep shooting 50% from three? No. Is he a sniper who will likely go through ups and downs, but will be a valued weapon for the years to come (regardless of whether he's a key rotation cog or a specialist)? Yes.
He's worked really hard on that shot and he's a way better defender than he was when I saw him in person at RGV. I think he's earned his way into the league. If he can defend, we've got a regular contributor.
He may not shoot 50%, but he may close and I wouldn't be surprised to see him among the league leaders in percentage next year, shooting above 40%. His career is still young but you can't really call it "small sample size" given the sheer volume of shots he attempted last year between D-league and NBA. I know the D-league game doesn't always translate to the NBA, but I think 3 point shooting is one skill that is probably comparable.
He'll have a good year next year. But his potential will be wasted playin in a moreyball system with no plays or movement. Shooters like Daniels need to be constantly moving off screens, noT standing around watching guys constantly go ISO.

Haven't seen enough of him playing NBA ball to decide. I'd go with a tentative yes -- kid can really shoot it.
He will be steve-novak 2.0 and will need to learn to D properly. You don't lose your shooting motion and instincts over time, so he will stay consistent for sure. The problem is will he be able to contribute in other ways.

His stroke is a pure and consistent as it gets so no worries there. I worry about finding him consistent playing time. Daniels cannot just be a one trick pony. He is going to have to bring something else to the table to get consistent time. At least average defense would be nice. For now, just keep that stroke and he will be in the rotation come November.
Seems like a bad question and poorly worded. He shot an insanely high %, which will surely go down as he plays more games and teams start to key in on him. However, it's not like he was a 3 pt shooter who came in and was dunking on guys or picking pockets. Therefore, there's not much room for him to regress back to "normal" or fade away. He is what he is. A spot up shooter. A really good one. Consistency would mean he keeps hitting them, which he certainly will do, but at what pace? Over 53%? That's not even realistic enough to ask about. I do wish he was a 6'10 shot blocker though, so we could call him Troy Denials.
Duh he's a starter. Morey needs to trade Harden for Love like yesterday and then ship off Lin and Asik to sign Melo. Think how many open looks Daniels would get with Melo, Love, and Howard commanding attention.
Great rotation guy for a playoff team. Given Harden is better at defending the post rather than the perimeter, if Daniels can learn how to play team defense and average man to man defense on average SG's I think he can get some real minutes. Howard, Harden and Daniels can be a nightmare for other teams to defend.
Just don't give him too many shots, or too much of a green light. Those commentators there in the D-League weren't so high on him when he was kept in Houston during the D-League playoffs. Said he shot them out of many games. If he keeps to his role as a spot up three point shooter that doesn't try to do too much, he'll be fine.
this one is 50/50, people are going to know who he is and get up on him but with all the open looks rockets have and his ability to shoot i really see him having a good season.
