No offense to Tom, but his article was also published which is why there was such an inflammatory response. We could turn it around on him as well. Tom gets to post an inflammatory editorial article in the New York Times because of freedom of speech/press. Also, Tom:
he's actually got a point about the 1619 Project. Surprised we haven't had a conversation about that here yet
from what I have read the 1619 Project is fairly ideologically loaded, and many 'mainstream' historians oppose it and have picked apart its numerous errors. Would be a good topic for its own thread.
