    Vince,

While I'm not a moderator, I would think that you can post wherever you like.

I think you can post here. Some things that might help you enjoy your time on this forum would be:

    1. If you are talking about a theory or something happening or is happening try and quote a source, and always link to anything you quote.

    2. Even if people are passionate about their politics, try not to take any response personally.

    3. The board is probably a little lopsided leaning to the left.

    4. Trader Jorge isn't serious with much of anything he posts, so if you read a post of his, look at it with a sense of humor.

    5. Some posts may seem insulting. You are free to respond, but if you prefer to discuss politics try and ignore the insult part, and respond by sticking to the issues at hand.

    6. Try and have a sense of humor about all of it.

    7. Communicating over the internet is never the clearest form of communication. Expect misunderstandings both on what you've read, and when other people read what you've written. Just because it makes perfect sense to you, doesn't mean everyone else will get it, unless you are able to spell it out, with supporting evidence. Even then there will be misunderstandings.

My advice since you are new here: Stay out of D&D. It takes years off your life.

The board used to lean very much to the left. But the center has moved.

As a result of Bush's failed presidency the majority of this country now believes the war in Iraq was a mistake, wants the war to end as soon as possible, disapproves of the Bush presidency, prefers D's to R's on every single issue and wants a Democrat to win in 2008 -- just like the majority of the posters here.

Exactly the point I would have made. The majority of the country is firmly opposed to Iraq, and most believe it was a mistake. Opposing Bush's war policy is hardly left of center these days.

Opposition to nation-building is conservative. But we'll certainly take libpigs on the bandwagon.

Well nation destroying prior to that nation building isn't exactly a liberal principle.

sicne no one ever talk about the any good news. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/06/22/iraq.main/index.html

i can see the response now...yeah but X thousand has died...its about time, etc. but sometimes you just have to acknowledge a little good to keep sane. Which may explain a lot of behaviour here. ;)
