You base this on one game?
More like the Blazers are blowing chunks.

Nothing I already didn't know about the Lakers.

    Rockets, if healthy, are better.

Why does Bynum keep shooting jumpshots? He's got this ugly, line-drive shot that really has no chance of going in.

Brandon Roy is playing like garbage. It's been well documented that he'd be the ideal 3rd scorer for us, but he's nowhere close to being a 1st scoring option. The Blazers may make the playoffs for a few years, but they will never go deep until they find a way to get a true #1 scoring option like a Yao/McGrady.

Kevin Durant would've completed this team at the small forward position. Chandler/Przybilla are servicable centers, and not much worse than Oden.

Luckily for them they have an owner that's willing to spend and tons of young talent on the bench (also replaceable because of the owner). They didn't draft Durant, but they could make up for it by trading for a veteran version of Durant - Carmelo Anthony.

No, not on just one half.

I basing this one the 8 preseason games I've watched them. Plus the TNT experts just said what I've been saying on this board for the past 2 weeks. (Barkely and Collins)

carmelo is vastly better than durant. and durant doesn't look like he's a franchise player just yet.

Lakers are the best in the West, but this game doesn't prove anything. All we've learned today is that if the other team doesn't play defense and can't shoot, the Lakers will demolish them.

Don't get too down on the Blazers either. They also started out last season with a brutal schedule and looked totally out of sync before things finally clicked in December.

did the lakers improve THAT much defensively or is portland just sucking? I always thought lakers sucked at defending pick and roll but they did a stellar job this game...

Well no one said winning a championship was going to be easy! Rockets just have to get even better.

I think Blazzers are not that bad. They were too nervious in the 1st quarter. They are getting better.

Lol. I like how you based this on the first game after he came back from an injury.
And were you not watching or did you just fail to notice how Roy contained Kobe when he was marking him?.

Oh yeah and roy wont ever make the allstar team again EVER. He only accomplished this feat in his second season which means NOTHING at all about his ability and talent. Hey, lets just throw in that hell be a benchwarmer for the rest of his nba career as well.

    Douche.

I predict lots of bipolarity this season like every other season.

Lakers will go on a long win streak then be declared NBA champs prematurely.

Lakers will go on a 4 or 5 game skid and be called 2nd round exit or something ridiculous like that.

Roy will put up 18 points and a fair amount of dimes and boards and then he'll be back to being underrated.

Oden will likely have 13/8 season and go from "Oden sucks" to "Oden just needs time to improve his fundamentals. This guy is a beast."

Repeat the same shtick for every elite team and every player that plays up and down for a short stint and you have a good 90% of the posts on this board covered in a nutshell.
