its never really been an open practice, as in a regular practice day with fans watching. Its always been mainly a scrimmage. They may be just wrapping up their practice as the fans start to arrive though.

I've been to these open practices in the past. You guys realize it's nothing more than a show for fans. There is not much to analyze intensely about what you see in this setting like a few of you seem to be doing.

Sorry if the quality is bad, my camera is very old. I couldn't get many pictures of them during the scrimmage because it turned out to be very blurry. But I hope you guys who didn't go, get an idea of how this turned out to be. I had a great time.

I got a 9 min video of it, but I don't have audio on it because my camera is old. I will post it up as soon as I upload it but it could take a while.

Based on the girl's face, this is what happened...

Girl: "That'll be $5 dollars, sir."

Cook: "I'm Brian Cook, yo! I play for the Rockets. Don't you know me?"

    Girl: *makes expression of doubt*

So you want the five to be a perimeter player?

*slowly starts to clap then stops...*

No, you don't even deserve that.

Thanks for the pictures man. Didnt a news network do a video last year over the practice? Hopefully they do it this year as well.

Yeah, our local news station ABC13. I think FOX covered it, but used the same footage as well.

So he can't be a 7 footer who can hit jumpers and even the 3 point shot?

No i want you to read what i actually wrote...."AND/OR"........as in, both or one or the other, obviously it would depend on what worked. If you bothered to read the my complete statement you would have also seen where i wrote it would enable us to match up with others. In other words, if having a 5 that can roam around works with that opponent, then do it, if it doesn't, THEN YOU DON'T DO IT.

Have the Rockets always had vertically arched lettering on their practice jerseys? It looks incredibly tight; hell, if Mensa-Bonsu can look normal on the back, you've got a really classy and unique touch to the uniform that's still quite subtle. Does anyone else in the NBA do this (besides the Raptors and Pistons, who go straight across, which looks great too, in my opinion).

Anyone know if there's any chance this gets on the real jerseys?

i think it may just depend on the length of the player's last name. I think i've seen some teams with names straight across and the longer names have it curved

and those dark practice jerseys remind me of the original dream team's practice gear, seems like the exact same lettering
