    So, are you complimenting him or not?

    Soft = insult.

    Mehmet Okur v2 = huge compliment in terms of skill, despite Okur being a douche.

    At first it was at practice intensity.... then it turned into an all-star game.

    He is a terrible post/inside player. He's basically a shooter at the 5 position.

    I could have told you that from the day we signed him. I just want to know if your Okur comment was meant to be positive or negative.

    Andersen wishes he was the next Okur. Like CCR said, despite being a douche, Okur is a very good player.

    Call him soft but the dude grabs boards and he single-handedly kept Yao in check on a number of occasions. What does that say about Yao?

    Exactly. If he can be our Memp Okur this upcoming season than I am all for it.

    Tracy was there... he sprinted out of the tunnel when the players were announced, then sat on the scorers table the whole scrimmage..

    Thanks. So it wasn't really an open practice, it was more of an open scrimmage, right?

    Saw alot of good in C Bud. He moves great without the ball, and actually has great size for a guard. Shooting touch is very smooth, and seems to have a high IQ for the game. Looks confident out there.. should be in the rotation this year. reminds me a little of Hedo back in the Sac Town days with Adelman.

    It really pains me to see that video. We had that game won... But you have to let the past go, no matter how much it hurts.

    Yeah, I don't understand how calling Andersen Okur v.2 is an insult. He's a very good, all-around player. He creates all sorts of matchup problems for teams (it's because of him that Yao ended up having to guard Boozer, for instance).

    Okur has meat on him. Andersen is pretty slim for a center.

    Brown i'm just pointing out that the Anderson comparison is insane. DA is not even in okur's ball park.

    One thing I noticed, Lowry has improved his outside shooting. Taylor was impressive on the offensive end & CBud does have some hops. Not a good scrimmage for showcasing the post guys like Andersen & Dorsey. Too much long range shooting or individual type moves to the basket. I thought Taylor looked much better than what he had showed in the Summer League. I knew CBud could shoot, but his ability to score on the end of an alley oop was really impressive. Pops did a good job rebounding & had several dunks. I came away a little disappointed in Andersen, but this type of scrimmage really didn't feature any kind of post play. Ariza has a lot of length & could be a force driving the lane. Scola even made a 3 pt shot, looks to have added some distance on his outside shot.

    Very curious about our rotations. We might see more of Lowry & Brooks in the backcourt. Could go small with Scola at center and Ariza & Battier manning the forward positions.

    The thing is some fans only want centers who play the post and bang bodies ont heir way to the rim...maybe they think that's the only possibly type of player that we can succeed with at the 5. Maybe they forgot we already got him and he's wearing a cast. So yeah, if Andersen can be Okur like then he'll be a great complement next year with yao on the floor and/or allow us to go with a different look with Yao on the bench, which would make enable us to matchup with pretty much everyone.
