Just got back from it. It was somewhat dissappointing after waiting 1 hour but at least stevie got some major shout outs from the crowd. In terms of who looked good they just weren't playing seriously at all so it was more of just a show for the audience. Bonzi rafer and mutumbo were funny as referees. Aaron did a windmill dunk at the end which was impressive, mike harris did the same. "Coach" Tmac got himself ejected. Overall was pretty sloppy as to be expected. Novak actually stole a pass thrown to battier and took it down and dunked. Bonzi looks slim, mike james seems almost too skinny, francis can still get up. No play from tmac or yao, not much from scola either, but looks about the right size. Luther looks more comfortable dribbling.
This was the first practice I've ever been to and I was pretty dissapointed. I thought Coach A would be out there and it would be a little bit more serious and organized. They was basically no defense and alot of jacked up shots. It's still exciting that the season is here though. I was impressed with how Bonzi looks, he's WAY skinnier. Scola didn't get to many looks out there and Luther liked to ballhog, lol.
you'll never see that. i think to have a REAL practice, you cant have 1000 fans there yelling out to the players. it just wont be an effective practice...Unless you can get all those fans to shut up, which would be unlikely, then maybe it can happen.
Yeah, Tmac kicked the ball about 5 feet from my 4yr old and 6mo. old It had the right trajectory, but thankfully was short. I think I won't go next year, they are getting to be...been there done that type of thing. I second the fact that they were playing "BS" ball--not trying at all.
Been there, done that is right . Don't go to these unless you are off from work or school. It's not worth missing class or work over.
is it just me or did you find 97.9 coming out there to be completely a waste of time and annoying (until they stopped playing lupe)
It certainly shouldn't be called an open practice.
