You gotta love those Rockets Power Dancers.. :D

Fun time, nothing to write home about but for the basketball starved it was a few crumbs to tide us over until tomorrow night.

Well, as Yao Ming missed the Open Day at Toyota Centre, there are not alot of photos to be found on the various Chinese websites..........

I can't believe parking was 10 bux.. that was ridiculous. People actually parked there, I got there late and I parked across the street from the TC and it was free cus of Columbus Day or something.

I was a little disappointed, I don't think Novak made any shots.. I guess I'll just take TMac's word for it

Too bad Yao wasn't there, at least he could've stopped by and say hi. I hope the fans won't be as boring in the regular season as they were yesterday.

btw, how do you post pics here?

I went... here are my thoughts.

    1. The new PA guy sucks. Same old tired PA schtick.

    2. Van Gundy was dressed like a hobo.

    3. The practice was way too short.

    4. Some people will eat way more than they should just because the food is free or cheap. Saw a guy with 1 coke and about 12 hot dogs.

    5. Spanoulis was nervous as a pimp in church or either he's is a long way from being ready to play at NBA. He airballed a shot and later clanked two free throws. He does have a quick first step. He also is not going to do well guarding 2's. He got posted up a few times and fouls a lot.

    6. Jacobson looks like he wants a gig.

    7. Whomever said Snyder had an impressive physique was bs'ing. He's skinny.

    8. John Lucas looked about the same as last year.

    9. Abuike is pretty good around the basket.

    10. Novak was a little off. The ball came off the outside of his hand a few times on long shots.

    11. I'm not sure we need Padgett if we have Novak, since all either can do is shoot.

    12. TMac looked fluid.

    13. Bonzi looked good posting up but he also looked fat.

    14. Rafer was decent.

    15. Luther Head was hustling and looked improved.

PA guys suck, period. If you're ADD and can't focus on the game instead of having to be constantly entertained with music, a rambling PA or chicks shaking their money makers, you need a PA announcer to help to enjoy the game. It's kinda sad that people actually know or care what the PA's name is.

I go to the game to watch basketball, I could care less about all the other crap at the arena.

the 10 bux i was talking about earlier was on LaBranch.. some lady came up and was like "yeah 10 bux" and I just drove off on her greedy self. Where is the Tundra parking?

BTW.. how much will parking be when the regular season starts??

Also I think it could be the new ball.. everyone was just off. JL3 tried to pull a couple spin moves and he tripped once.. good effort though. I wished TMac would do more dunks instead of that one windmill and sat out the rest of the 15 mins.

And people were eating a little too much, some did look like they were at a hotdog eating contest.
