The Wakes may need to see tonights sim to further evaluate their place in the league. As V-Train is starting to turn some heads. That, and the scope of Paul Lo Duca's history is one that cannot simply be dealt away in a rush.

I'm looking to move a few of my outfilders for younger players. They might can help some winning ball clubs as back-up or even upgrade your starters. Salmon, Berkman, Lawton, Garcia, and Seguignol are all available. I also don't really have a spot for SP Qualls in my rotation anytime soon so I would also be willing to trade him for bull-pen help albeit minor league prospects or younger players already in the majors. As gm for a team that is eight games out of the wildcard and has a youth movement on the cusp, it would be wisest to deal a 31 year old catcher for a solid prospect. Of course, the Wakefields always let their crazy hearts cloud the deal. Sorry to drag this out, Heath, but Paul has been such a storied member of LA that I can't possibly go through with dealing him.

For anyone needing MR help for at least the rest of the season Jay Powell and Todd Van Poppel are out there... Powell -- AGAA (6-5-6-5-5) Van Poppel -- GAAG (6-5-4-4-8) Looking for some sort of pitching prospect for either one or both. Both have expiring contracts. Closers Urbina or Jeff Zimmerman are also open for discussion. I want a pretty good SP prospect in return...not expecting it to be a 1 for 1 swap. I know I may have to add more. Juan Gonzalez could also be dealt if the right offer came along...would like a young OF (in the majors) and a prospect SP.
