NYK, it appears you prefer to have a certain player in aaa rather than the majors. Perhaps said player could be dealt?
Memo to all GM's from Astros All my MLB vets are in play (including Berkman, Wagner, and Wickman) for prospects!! Needed 3B, OF, C, MR. Drop me a line if there is anyone on the Astros roster who is of interest to you. Some guys can be had for alot cheaper then you would think like Seguignol who still crushes lefties. Lawton who plays a good outfield and can still hit RHP. Zaun is a good hitting catcher. Bagwell is falling off some but still puts up big numbers. Vina is in the last year of his contract a might help a winning ball club. Garcia is playing with a nagging injury but has put up numbers in the past. The list goes on......let me know who you like. I also have somewhat of an abundance of young starting pitching (some of them aren't ace material but are decent young pitchers). I would also be interested in dealing some of them for position players of equal value if someone is looking for pitchers. My e-mail is jphillips88@hotmail.com Also draft picks/player to be named later offers are also welcome!!
If you want your soup and eat it to, then you gotta have a spoon. The fishes dont like netSSes or the catchers putting them there, but it is a requirement for the fisherman to bring food on the table. So does the fishes have something to close a deal, they give back the spoon for the fishermen to eat their fish soup, but the fishermen have to give up the netSSes that catches the fishes. Seems like a fair trade off to me.
Let me try and interpret So does the fishes have something to close a deal fishes - could be marlins close - could be closers Looking at the Marlins roster I see they have 3 closers playing, this post could indicate that the Marlins could be willing to deal one of them. If you want your soup and eat it to, then you gotta have a spoon. spoon - could very well indicate Spooneybarger as he is one of the closers for Marlins, if this specify that this is the player open for trade or if all of them are I dont know. they give back the spoon for the fishermen give - could be trade spoon - could indicate the offer, but again it might be a image for any of the 3 closers fishermen - that I think indicate the other team (maybe even trying to catch up to the division leading Marlins) but the fishermen have to give up the netSSes that catches the fishes netSSes - this confused me a bit, but then I thought of gollum and as SS is in CAPS it could indicate short stops catches - I'm not sure this has a specific meaning, but as catchers are in baseball......? So to me this seems to all indicate that Marlins might trade a closer for improvement in the SS department (and/or catching department) All this got me thinking though, maybe: If you want your soup and eat it to, then you gotta have a spoon. can also indicate soup - playoffs eat it to - win gotta have - need to trade But all in all - anyone that puts up a post like this when they want to trade has to be crazy and difficult to do a trade with. I do not suspect that the 'spoon' they give up for 'nets' is gonna come cheap.
I'm never ever trading with Heath..........I would probably have a headache and in confusion end up dealing Berkman for some damn spoon and fork that will be sent COD.
I'm still looking for a trade. The aim is to improve at catcher. I'm also interested in shortstops. I also hear from the wake organisation that in love for his players dean might consider to help out one of his 3 major league catchers to more playing time. When you combine these two statements, there is no wonder that there is a rumour going about a Florida-LA trade.
Well, a catcher isn't the lone position Florida could acquire. Those postseason ventures sometimes require a little extra. As for LA, youthful starters have always been the key to Timmy's heart. A complimentary player to the magnificent foundation of Odalis and GAME OVER. Eric Gagne, is the wishful basis.
for anyone interested, I have some players (mostly prospects) available: prospect SP Reynaldo Salgado - GAGA prospect MR Greg Miller - GABA current 1B/3B Eduardo Perez (4-9-9-5 against LHP, great lefty power specialist) and possibly even Jason Isringhausen (closer/reliever, C duration, 9 ERA), although it would take a terrific effort to get him. what am I looking for, you ask? another bat. I would prefer it to be at 1B, but it's not a huge deal because most players can play 1B anyway. I have a pretty high payroll for my revenue, so if you are offering me a player that makes over 3 or 4 million I'd need you to take a contract back from me (it can be expiring, though). also, the players I listed above are just suggestions.. almost anyone on my roster is potentially available for the right deal, with the exception of Pujols and Stephens. offers? email me at SlamDuncan2121@aol.com
Heath/anyone - do you have any interest in Zaun? Cat/anyone - do you have any interest in Garcia? He's not having the best of years but has been working through a injury and has produced in the past. He makes 4.5 so I could take an expireing contract also.
MR/Closer Jeff Zimmerman is available...looking for a solid starter. A pitching prospect could also be involved to sweeten the deal.
As for any LA trade - I'm afraid you left me a bit confused Deano. But if you have any suggestions for a deal, let me know.
Smallz, the Wakes may not only be able to parlay a low contract catcher and centerfielder, but also a pair of PF Flyers.
Thanks to the recent talent increase to Villenueve, I can afford to trade Johan Santana. He is in AA and is good in avoiding hits SP. I need a better SS than Ramon Martinez/Alex Gonzalez/Mark Grudzielianek. I am hardly ever in chat anymore because of school and other things, so if you are interested, just post in the thread or email me at jfyoung@charter.net. Most people know by now that when I am looking to move someone, I don't waste time and also they know my "metrics" for position players (needs to have .800 OPS potential).
