I think any deal you make with Zac that'll improve his team is a bad idea. :p

    You're getting raped.

Just to clarify - this was just a joke. Zac giving up youth (pick) to improve his team now is bad for me as I'm in the same division. But I doubt he can beat me anyway so just do the deal.

As for the trade - I can see it going both ways. Infante is good, but also Eckstein brings hitting. You then also get the extra supposedly good player in a 1st round pick. Montreal should suck, so it could be high, but then again - they don't play like suckers - they grind out every game with that young pitchers of theirs. (In the crash season they held up pretty long for the lead, and they were only a couple games back at the time so I could never take the division win for granted).

So you get an extra young good guy for the future - the only thing you have to figure out if you have some holes you can cover with that pick, or if you need the quality player in Infante (who is not an old dog exatly) more. So that is what you have to consider. I say it could go either way.

Mike Hampton is on the block, *CHEAP*. I want to cut his salary -- so the first #1 pick gets him. I'll also consider 1B prospects.

He was an All-Star and won 20 games last year.

Email me if you're interested. Thanks!

    Mr. GreenVegan,

I would love to know the price tag on one R. Furcal. I could include Alfonzo in a multiplayer package. Let me know if anything on the Astros roster is of interest. My e-mail is jphillips88@hotmail.com

    Mr Kam,

Does "pull off" mean your are going to do it? If not then the Astros would have EXTREME interest in Infente. My e-mail address is above. And remember not deal is complete until it's posted!!!!;)

    Buck,

    I hate you.

    Kam,

If you want to do our trade, you can post it in the transaction thread at any time and I'll confirm. If Buck makes you an offer that you like better than mine, do please let me know before you finalize anything with him and maybe we can work something else out.

    Kam,

Postion player-wise I have Blanco who has great power numbers and is still very young. I have a few pitching prospects I could deal Greinke is one that comes to mind. He G in hits and B in strikeouts but needs some work in other areas that can be done over ST as he's still very young. My #1 pick could also be included in a deal.

Also would you be interested in a multiplayer deal that included Alfonzo?

    Kam,

When you get your thoughts together about the deal you can drop me an e-mail or post on this board. If it's a big multiplayer deal that includes Alfonzo I would perfer your reply via e-mail.

    DHR,

Are you still interested in moving Berkman? I don't have the position player prospects, but I can offer Jake Peavy, who despite his terrible season, so far has (or had) a "7" in ERA with a "6" in hits. Let me know something.

Also, to everyone else - I am willing to listen to offers on everyone on my team with the only untouchables being Perez, Jaquez, Burroughs, X, and Jerome.

I need not only a good hitting OF but a C for the future, who is preferably ML ready and position player prospects.

If the price for Berkman is Peavey, then I will also throw my interest in the hat.

I'm like Manny - I don't have the positional players you requested, but I do have something close.

SS Hanley Ramirez - he did play mostly 2B for the entire chrash season (computer placed him there when Chuck autoed my lineup, so I didn't get him moved over to 2B until late in the season. Both him and Jeremy Hermida had excellent development during that season and both were on the verge of being starters - well Hanley actually were a starter during the autoed lineup but he was about to be called into full time starting job over Luis Castillo at the time of the crash.

SP Luke Hagerty - He is also still developing, but he is also so good already that I opted to start him over Brad Penny in the playoffs last season, and he delievered me the win. We could perhaps also find something with Penny if you like him better.

I could however use someone to plug into as my 5th starter should I deal one of my starters so if you have something we coudl work on a bigger deal. If I get Berkman a player like Burkhart will become surplus to requirement.

Oh, and I'd like to get Chip Ambres back. I did trade him to St.Louis as Cat had to have him as he knew him. But now Cat is gone so maybe I could get him back? :)
