I'd like to get a sluggin' veteran 1B to bolster the 'Spos' chances in their "MLB 2006: Lightning in a Bottle" battle. Someone like Mo Vaughn, I mean, nothing too huge. The deal, I mean, because Mo is pretty huge. If there's some other 1B out there that'd fit the bill, feel free to name him to me. Cat, I like that little GAA SS of yours, but I'm not sure what I have that you'd like. If there's anything, you could point that out, and we could see if we can come up with anything.

DV, I really need a badass 2B as Mark Ellis doesn't really cut it for me. I would prefer not to trade Drew and definitely not Jones since I will only have him for like 1 and a half seasons anyway. Nomar is interesting, but you are asking about some pretty good OPS machines and we know that I don't let those guys go cheaply. It's really too late to talk about a deal that would take effect for this season, but we can talk about a deal that would go into place for next season, if you like.
Okay, I am bringing this thread back to the top instead of starting a new one since we are still in 2006, albeit at the beginning. I am now the Padres and I am willing to listen to offers for anybody on the team. However, be aware that super offers will have to be made for me to give up Cedeno, Perez, Peavey, Burroughs, and Huizenga. But all offers will be heard! I am hoping to fill my needs through FA, but in case FA is a bust for me, I will look to do some deals. My primary weaknesses include catcher, the bullpen, and possibly 3B. If you are interested in any Padres, let me know.
Okay, I did not get any offers whatsoever by the computer. I need a catcher. He doesn't have to be great but better than the 2 bums I have now in Bennett and Rivera. I can offer a lower level prospect like Padilla, the 1B (no, not the closer) I might be interested in swinging a bigger deal to get some more offense, as well. Manny: I'm sure we can find something for Zaun if you are interested - maybe even in a bigger deal for Klesko although that is not vital. Buck: I'm interested in Alfonzo, but dealing Willis is hard for me. Not saying it can't be done as Oswalt also is a good player. Why this hate for Oswalt btw? If I decide to trade Willis it would have to be for a deal I feel very comfortable with. I can take on some extra contracts, but the talent has to be there match up favourably for me to give up my only real lefty pitcher.
Call it unresolved issues from my contract negotations in the last sim. The ass stopped neg. with me after like 4 offers. And the guy is supposed to be LOYAL! (It was really my fault as I low-balled him) I'm not dead-set on trading him by any stretch. Just feilding offers really. I got one or two decent ones at the deadline in the last sim and actually ended up trading him. If I would have had more time (like I do now) I think I could have even done better.
