OOTP Draft Thread

My pick goes to the now computer operated Rangers. Let the computer do what it will.

 

Just set a time (in the evening) when the draft will occur. People can be there or let the computer draft for them. It's going to take forever to do this, otherwise.

 

Expos take 1B Keith Rodney and are very interested in trading down for SS Walter Kelley or LF Ronald Holsey, if any of you later-pick folks want to trade for Keith.

 

hey im really sorry i wasnt here last night but its really hard to find out when everything is going on. i think there should be a news thread from the commish and whoever telling the newbies (or whatever you want to call us even though i used to be in the league as DaryleWard for KC) when things are going to be held like the draft and when yall are going to sim and whatever else needs to be stated sort of like an AP news ticker or whatever.

but if im not on when we do something like draft please do it auto for me thanks

 

This suggestion is something that needs to be looked at, very seriously for next season. I also think that is the way we used to do the draft.

Maybe Chuck finished it late last night and just hasn't had the chance to update, but there is no reason for the 1st round of the draft to take 3 days.

That is not a bad idea about having update threads, and I think that haven and Zac used to do that from time to time. It sorta went away because so many of us would be in chat and/or checking the site all the time to know what was going on.

But it boils down to 2 things - people new to the league need to check the fantasy forum now as much as they do the other forums and realize that the sim moves fast (2 weeks are played every time there is a sim, sometimes 3). If you know you will be out of town or unable to check the BBS for awhile, let someone that you trust run your team while you are gone or just tell Chuck to auto your stuff.

He is with the Cubs and he *had* a nice contract extension of 9 million for 6 years, but that was wiped out. Tough break for Jackie!

 

So I am taking it that moe still has not picked yet. Hmm, day 5 of a draft that should have been no longer than 2 days...

 

actually, I just remembered - moe said he was going to Oakland this weekend for the Raiders game, so he's not going to be back for a while. Let the comp pick for him.
