Phil Nevin 1B (GGBAF) and his 13 million dollar contract are on the trading block. Zac, if you don't mind finding some computer team to take him I would be very greatful.
Jeremy Giambi and Randy Choate are both available. I would like comparable players back in return at 1B or can play 1B and a pitcher that is a MR.
I need a backup catcher. Anyone got any extras. I don't expect much (just someone to come in and play once or twice a week) so I am not really willing to give up much in return. I would normally scan the FA list and sign a backup Catcher there but it seems to have died with the old save file. Also who actually owns the Angels. i see 2 people in the lineup thread with them but which one owns them(or is that the same person with split personalities). I want to delete the post of the person who doesn't own them. CK
I can give you Rod Barajas for a pitcher in A that has fair in hits (no poor). Barajas is doing pretty well for me in AAA, but he has nowhere to go with Redmond and Johnson ahead of him. If you want to do, you can do a Balbuena for Barajas, post it in the transaction thread, and I'll confirm. IronShef and origibulls are the same person. He must have forgotten his password on one of the accounts.
Closer Brad Lidge is available. I don't have any specific needs for my team so offer and I'll see if ti is something I like. CK
DeanbCurtis, I have a deal you might like. Detroit trades: Bobby Higginson - LF .......... .302 20 74 6 Brian Moehler - P ................ 4.82 8 6 And my first round pick (currently 9th) Los Angeles trades: Chin-Feng Chen Ricardo Rodriguez And your first round pick (currently 22nd) This trade of course makes your team older, but it also dramatically improves your LF position w/o losing much in your starting rotation. Moehler can be inserted in Rodriguez's spot. You also get a greatly improved first round pick so that you can replenish some of the young talent you lost in the deal. If you like, you can post the deal.
Granted the deadline has passed, but I am sick and tired of this sliding **** that my team does all the time. There is no reason why they shouldn't be winning the NL West. However, I have a bunch of gutless chokers on my team. Therefore, all of them with the exception of Neugebauer can be had if the deal is right. I want them out of my sight. Period. I am Arizona, BTW, if y'all have forgotten.
S. Green 31 RF Good Brilliant Average C A C J. Borchard 25 LF Good Brilliant Average D D A J. Padilla 25 RF Average Brilliant Good C A C J. Cust 25 LF Average Good (but already developed into an 8 from when he had Brilliant talent) Good E E E C. Hermansen 26 CF Average Good Average D E D C. Jimerson 24 CF Good Fair Average C B B K. Simon 20 RF Good Good Good E B E Only 3 outfield and 1 DH spot available for these 7 guys, meaning I would be willing to deal a few for the right deal. Ideally, Green, Borchard, Padilla and Cust are the four I would like to keep, but one could still be moved if the offer was right. I like Jimerson's nice range at all 3 OF positions so I may use him as a backup for all 3 OF positions in the future. So that leaves Simon and Hermansen as the guys I am most likely to trade. What I am looking for: I need another fairly young (preferably not in A or AA) good starting pitcher I also wouldn't mind an upgrade at shortstop, either trading something like Simon + for a SS with similar talent to Simon, or trading Bubba Crosby 24 SS Good Average Average D D B and one of my outfielders for a SS that is an upgrade to Crosby. I also always like talented young MR's and closers as parts of deals. If you are interested in dealing try to find me in chat or email me at SteveFrancis0003@yahoo.com
After having nightmares all night long about the Wakefields, I have come to a decision about my team. As stated last night, nearly everyone is available if the price is right. However, let me list the categories of who is more available than others: Category 1 (looking to trade for sure) - Mark Johnson, Greg Colbrunn, Wes Helms, Jeremy Giambi, Craig Counsell, Desi Relaford, Corey Koskie, Russell Branyan, Jose Guillen, Bobby Kielty, Curt Schilling, Randy Choate, Gary Glover, Eddie Oropesa, Todd van Poppel, and Mike Myers. Now, some of these guys are old, so I don't really expect anyone to be seriously interested; however, they are listed simply to let people know that they are available. Also, Giambi and Choate have been proposed in a deal that is on the table. That doesn't mean, you can't ask about them, but I would have to feel that your deal for them is better than what is on the table. Category 2 (would trade but it would have to be a deal that would slightly favor me or be even for both sides) - Mike Redmond, Junior Spivey, Kevin Millar, Junior Griffey, Jason Schmidt, Jason Bulger, Sean Lowe, all minor leaguers except for Griffin and Pina, and first round pick for this upcoming season. Once again, my first round pick and 1 minor leaguer is on the table in another proposed deal, but if your deal can top what is on the table than I can go with the new one. As you can tell, some of these guys are favorites of mine, so it would be very hard for me to give them up, but I am willing if it would make my team better. Category 3 (untradedable, don't even ask) - Nickolas Neugebauer, John Ford-Griffin, Arthur Rhodes, and Harold Pina. These players are exactly what it says above...untradeable, so don't ask about them. Now, what do I need in return?? Well, it may sound like I'm throwing in the towel and looking to re-build, but actually, I want to keep my team competitive enough that they can still win the NL West. I would be willing to take on some older players, granted that they can still help me win and have contracts that are up next year. Young players who are ML ready are nice as well. kbm - I know at one time you were interested in Koskie and Relaford. Off your team I'm interested in Munson, Palmer, Santiago, Baugh, Shuey, and Hackman. SF3 - I probably don't really have anything that you would be interested in since you are looking for young guys. I could offer Bulger, if I was able to get another starter that is close to him in ratings and talent back (although I may have to find that pitcher from someone else). I like Hermansen and Crosby for sure, but some of the others have piqued my interest, as well. Htown - If you decide to do the deal that is on the table, please post in this thread and I, then can post the trade with you confirming it. As for everyone else, you can contact me via email, jfyoung@charter.net, or let me know via the BBS. My schedule is such now that a lot of times, I never know when I can make the chat. So, it would be better to post on the BBS that you want to do a deal with me because I always check it numerous times during the day.
Anyone in need of a pretty good 3rd baseman, I have Fernando Tatis on the block. He is AGA and is my 4th best hitter. (Now that I think about it, I am not sure if we are past the trading deadline or not...but even if we are, I could resign him and then trade). I am looking for a 1B, closer, or SP help (preferably a closer).
