Florida and Chicago White Sox Trade: Florida Trades: A.J. Burnett, Matt Williams Chicago White Sox Trade: Keith Foulke, Bobby Howry, Jose Valentin, Jason Arnold, and Sean Henn. Marlins Agree.
Why do you keep doing these r****ded deals? Do you have a positive IQ? Why the **** do you keep trading?
No, they don't. This trade will not go through; furthermore, there will be no more trades involving the Marlins until games of next sim-season begin. This includes trade discussions with devestata - if I hear of anyone talking trade with him before that time, that person will not be allowed to trade with anyone, all of next year. Call this a learning period for Devestata - he will still manage all aspects of the team he has, he will just not act as general manager until that time. Devestata, before you trade next, ask a third party what they think of it. Then ask someone else. If they have negative opinions, find out why. Don't trade on gut instinct - computers don't recognize that sort of thing.
Zac: I had sent devestata an email about 5 minutes before you posted this. I had talked to SF3 about it, but I wanted to let you know so that you didn't hear it through a 3rd party. Obviously, if I had known that you were going to post this, then I would never have sent him an email. So, that email is now invalid. Devestata: Please disregard that email I sent you and PLEASE take this advice from Zac.
I'll take his advice. If this trade isn't allowed, is that Penny trade still going into affect? When does next season start?
Did I say I wanted to back out of the Penny trade? NO I DIDN'T. I just asked if it was still going into affect. Which obviously it is, so there is no need to worry on your part.
Reds Trade: Ken Griffey Jr Chris Reitsma Juan Encarnacion Ben Broussard Wily Mo Pena Kevin Brown 3rd round pick Yankees Trade: Mike Mussina Ichiro Suzuki edit--Sean Burnett 2nd round pick Reds confirm
4 GM's in chat. Deal goes through. The two GM's ask the others to evaluate the trade. As devestata is not so experienced in evaluating trades he wanted this as a test. He goes first. He thinks this trade favours Yankees - after taking a time evaluating this trade. A first for everything. He said in the future he would try to evaluate his trades too. Then I go. And It is not even close - Yankees rip off Reds. So in my view deve had a better evaluation in this trade than Chuck. Pena + 3rd rounder > Burnett + 2nd Reitsma > Moose Broussard + Griffey >>> Ichiro Encarnation = price of getting rid of Brown? and I dont think Brown will play long before he retires, so that price might be low. Yankees win this deal in all aspects. Sorry Chuck.
Just wanted to note that I think analyzing that trade, and others that may follow, is a very good idea...
