Yao pretty much missed all the summer-league and pre-season games in his first year. On the other hand, Bogut has benefited from NCAA, summer-league and pre-season games.

LOL, look at the 76ers. Their offense is Webber and AI each shoot 30 times a game.

13 and 9 for Bogut. Webber came to play, but sixers stunned.

From the Sportscenter highlights, Bogut looked real strong.

    Culture shock, anyone?

Yao isn't the project that some of you thought he'd be. Be glad for that.

It's a lot like people who are waiting for the next 0-16 team in football. Since Yao has been the only #1 pick not to score in his first game, some are waiting for the next #1 pick to go scoreless in his first game.

I don't remember enough names in this forum to know whether DeAleck is a Yao basher or not, but not knowing helped me see why someone may start a thread like this. I certainly didn't take it to mean he thought Bogut is or would be a better player than Yao.

Disregard all this if DeAleck is a consistent Yao basher, though.

    Stupid thread. Totally garbage.

Yao will be a great player, while Bogut will be a good player.

Surprised this thread isn't locked yet, with all the wasted posts in it.

Bogut had a decent game. But not that great. TJ Ford had as many rebounds as him...heck, he only rebounded 1 other teammate on the starting five. And he missed a wide-open alley-oop dunk.

That said, he clearly has some decent athleticism and should develop nicely.

Yao is the only #1 bigman pick that averaged over 18 and 8 last year in limited minutes and is still considered to be underachieving.

Hey, boy, grow over 200 posts first, then start bashing others.

if u really want to look at it. experience wise this is yao's rookie year since he didn't have HS or college ball and ball in china was weak.
