Berry could fill it up and had a game similar to Harden. Those were my college years so I don't remember what happened to him either but am curious to know too. Wiki says he played three seasons in the NBA and then went to Italy.
Wasn't really a bust. In fact he was a damn good player in his second year (after being traded to vancouver). Problem was injuries derailed his career way too early, similar to Grant Hill/Penny.
Michael Dickerson was the first person I thought of. Also: Bryce Drew Shandon Anderson Othella Harrington
I can no longer think of Harold Minor without introducing David Hardisty in a very deep voice in my head. "And Noooww, the man who would have picked Harold Minor over Robert Horry..." lols, got to love Clutch's self-denigrating humor on his podcast intro
Joe C. Meriweather. I thought he was going to be a star player. He had a terrific rookie season. He made the all-rookie team. We traded him and other pieces after the season for Dwight Jones and a first round draft pick. Meriweather never got any better, he just gradually declined over the next ten years. Never understood what happened to that guy.
I guess that's what I meant by bust, he definitely had skills. Just was disappointing since his career only lasted ~5 years.
I will always fall back to Mirsad Turcan (sp??), the guy we picked over Rashard Lewis... I mean seriously three first round picks and we couldn't "waste" on a local 6' 10 guy.
