    That doesn't really mean much. Only in the past 7 years or so, with the advent of analytics, do teams start to shoot lots of 3s. Before the current 3pt shooting era, the 3pt shot was seldom the centerpiece of any team, let alone championship caliber team.

    While this fact may be true right now, this will change within maybe two years. 3-point attacks are becoming dominant and it's almost now necessary to shoot well in order to contend. Look at the champions of the last few years, with Cleveland, Golden State, Miami. All had good to great shooters. All had stretch 4's that were capable of hitting midrange jumpers as well as 3's. This stat won't last for long. Maybe we'll add to it. But within 10 years, we'll see another couple of teams added to the list.
