I'm kind of hoping for class, I have two tests tomorrow and it's either take them tomorrow, or during dead week, I'd rather have them over with now.

God this sucks. I have a final tommorrow and now its pretty much up in the air whether or not we actually have the test. That and all the cars in my complex look frozen and covered in a thin layer of ice.

My MIS final got cancelled tommorrow and now a paper counts twice in our grade- which is good because I wrote a pretty good paper (granted I did it all the night before).

It's funny how in posts 41 through mine, 4 people spelled TOMORROW completely, and jmftexas continues to spell it tmrw... uhhhh, a bit ironic, don't you think? Who's the geek here?

I have a little more time before work tomorrow to study all of his posts... maybe he's in need of some loving or something... [BEEP!] Posting Technique Study Commencing... [BEEP!]

This is a field day for everyone who knows that you continue to use the "Dudes, this is a freakin' BBS, not a grammar class" excuse, jmftexas... :D

Schools need to close when it is really hot outside.

I was here in Austin for the ice storm in the early 80's. Must have been at least an inch of black ice...I was sitting at a light on seventh and a van slid down the hill behind me and spun my car out into the intersection like we were dancing in the ice capades.

    I agree

I was pretty suprised they cancelled class as well, but with the anticipation of rain and sudden drop in temperature, you had a recipe for disaster. I'm sure they'd rather get the 25,000 students on campus home and safe rather them wait for the rain and then drive home.

3 dead days is ridiculous. Last year I had at least a whole week.

I don't understand what you meant by that, but I want to know why "literally". That would mean that he's actually dying in REAL LIFE. I don't want to be the cause of someone's death. :( Sorry, man... you may continue this interrupted thread, already in progress...

It hasn't done all that stuff it was supposed to here. Though apparently it did at least some of it not far from here. They decided not to cancel classes, which is probably good. I'm prepared to stay on campus tonight, not that I may have to (except just that I'm not going to get much sleep anyway, what with writing exams, so why bother... most of my finals are bunched up at the beginning). Looks like you guys in Austin got it instead. :p

Hermana Isabel, do you guys go by quarters, semesters, or what? We do semesters, summers I and II, 9-weeks, 5-weeks and minimesters... maybe that's why some finals' stuff is not at the same times as other schools' finals.

This is fun. I'll take a stab at this grammar thing. A-train, there should be a comma after "figure," and, as for those dots at the end of the sentence, I'm not sure what they are meant to signal, but a period would be better clearer.

LonghornFan, you do know that it is more acceptable to say "weren't you" than "right." It is just good grammar, man!

Either "better" or "clearer", but not both. -1 for grammar errors. -Dr. Isabel

(the above is a teacher's note; it does not have to be in complete sentences)
