    Important Notice

We are about 24 hours until D-Day. If you're no longer playing this game, please let us know. This will allow us to clean out your money and drop you from the group so the enemy has less targets to retaliate on.

Everyone else that wants to attack should try to build up to one of these components:

    1. Frontline Ground forces: With at least 100 infantry and/or Marines if you can afford to upgrade. Most of you should at least be able to do this.

    2. Advanced Ground forces: Humvees to steal with some infantry or marines as cover.

    3. Mega-Advanced Ground forces: Tanks and cover. If you can make tanks, then make tanks. These guys should be monsters.

    4. Air division (Helicopters): With many Black Hawks (and some Chinooks if you can afford it for stealing).

    5. Air division (Jets): If you can afford and have time to make 10-15 stealth bombers with A-10 backup, then go for it. I don't expect anyone to have the time or money, but just in case.

    6. Missiles/WMD: I'm not going to ask anybody to embargo themselves by using one of these, and quite frankly, I don't think we're going to need it. This cartel isn't that strong. But if we start getting reprisals from their allies, we might need some WMD's to fight back. Put a bit of cash into this if you can afford it.

If you can't afford to do any of this, then I suggest that you concentrate on your defense as much as possible. Infantry would be your best bet at low levels so try to get your military base up and start cranking these guys out.

Check in for the attack with be in the cartel chat room:

    http://oilempires.itch.com/chat.cfm?defaultToClan=1

On Sunday at 3pm est (2pm Houston time). When you check in, please me message me at:

    http://oilempires.itch.com/sendMessage.cfm?toName=m_cable

and give me a list of what force you can attack with. Make sure to list it by installation. Such as:

    Thanks and good luck,

    Go Clutchfans! Go Rockets!

    Level 1 Outpost: 50 Militia
    Level 8 Outpost: 42 Militia, 40 Guerrilla, 2 Flak Cannon, 6 Rebels
Level 1 Military Base: 150 Infantry
Level 6 Military Base (still upgrading): 70 Infantry, 30 Rangers, HOPING for Tanks...but need time.
Level 5 Helipad: 16 Black Hawks, 4 Super Cobra's, soon to be able to get Chinooks
Level 3 (almost) Air Base: Once upgrade is complete, I will try to load up on F-22 Raptors (or should I upgrade again and buy B-2 Stealth Bombers instead?

If you want, I could try buying some Bunker Blaster Missiles or Small Pox Strains...but would prefer not.

Also - everybody make sure that you have enough fuel to run the vehicles you have...stock up!

With this little time, I'd probably ignore putting resources into Raptors, Bombers. You need about 10-15 Bombers for it to be worth it, and Raptors are much better for defense than offense (and even then it's not really worth the price). Concentrate on Black Hawks, and Chinooks. I think that's your best bang for your buck aside from tanks. As for missiles/WMD's, I won't ask anybody to use them because of the embargo. And we're not going to need it against these guys. But if you want, then you can put those on the back burner in case their allies hit us back.

Here's a tip, make a couple more helipads. That way you can make black hawks 3 times as fast, and it helps with the "only 30 attacks per 8 hours from each base" rule. If you have 3 helipads cranking out black hawks, you could have 20 from each base by tomorrow.

    Good luck.

I wouldn't worry. The guys we're attacking aren't even that strong. Even if only the strongest couple members of our group participates, we should cripple them with our sneak attack.

Tomorrow will be a success. Guaranteed.

After tomorrow when the reprisals come... well that may be a different story (especially for some of our weaker members). But fighting and getting into wars is one of the best parts of the game, so even if we do get our asses handed to us, it should be fun. And it only gives us experience for the future.

I doubt these guys will do much to retaliate. They're decimated and so damn far away.

So we'll build up and get ready for next week. Definitely want to do this again. We'll pick a stronger opponent next time.

I made a huge mistake attacking the shopping center -- I thought my infantry could destroy it and grab all that cash, but all I ended up doing was wasting gas. Oh well, my missiles will be ready for the next attack -- I wonder if they could take out a stadium or resort...

It wasn't even close. Total domination by us. Here's the bullet points:

    - 3814 (aka cakett) didn't even know we had a message board or chat on the OE website. So he came around here before the attack, didn't see anybody posting, and decided to start without us.

    - We were still planning the attack at the time, and when scouting and figuring out who's going to attack who, I see on the combat screen that cakett's attacking one of their guys. I was like WTF CAKETT!

    - At that point the plan pretty much went straight out the window, and it was a free-for-all. I just told everyone to eff the plan and just attack someone close to you.

    - All of the opponents had really weak air defense, so we just beat them down from the air.

    - We killed pretty much all of the stronger player's troops, and stole a crap load of money.

    - The only problem was that they were so damn far away that a lot of our guys started running out of fuel. So there were like millions of dollars sitting out there but it was like 500 miles away and we didn't have any fuel. LOL.

    - In the end, we cleaned them out, and destroyed them so thoroughly I almost feel guilty. Almost.

    - They haven't retaliated back yet, but most of them are so damn far away that, I'm not sure what they can do. Still, make sure to keep up our defenses.

    - We're planning on doing it again next week. We'll pick a stronger opponent, so everyone's got to build up in the meantime.

Everyone should post their own war stories (who you attacked, what you did, how much you stole etc.). I'd love to hear some of them from your point of view.

P.S. I lost 5 tanks for being stupid. I sent them in alone without any cover. :(

It was a complete ass stomping. We were hitting them so fast that I could barely get any spoils of war for myself.

Oh yeah. The leader of the cartel is 12. Go cry to momma, boy.
