Setting up my refineries now. If crude is needed to make kerosene, then I tell my tank not to send any crude to distribution, so it can go to the first refinery right?
That's the general premise for the entire chain, but for crude there's two exceptions: 1. The refining takes place right after drilling, and before selling, so it doesn't really get a chance to sell the crude before it gets refines. 2. If you have extra oil more than the max that you can refine, it'll just set there if you tell it not to sell. With this in mind, you can set crude oil to sell and it'll be okay.
I gotta say that this game is lots of fun so far. I'm thinking of buying a Game Pass for next round. I'd buy it now, but the turn will be over on 5/8, then it's back to 0 for everyone else. The game is definately worth me giving the developers ten bucks for their work.
I donated $10. That's more than enough game credits to last for quite awhile. It looks like my neighbor does want to join. He's reb0957. Very strong player, check him out. Probably not a Rockets fan but having his fire power would be a welcome addition. Yeah and Nays?
Since no one is really voting on whether we should let outsiders in or not, it's time to make an executive decision. I'm going to say no. I doubt the clutchfans cartel will appear in the same form next round (with a large number of guys probably dropping out because they're not as into the game as others). Inviting outsiders just because they're good gamers starts moving the focus of the cartel into revolving around oil empires and not a connection with fellow clutchfans. So let's have this round at least, be all about clutchfans. And then next round, all the serious gamers can get together and reform a team.
Time to make an other executive decision. We are going to attack "The Dark Soldiers" cartel THIS SUNDAY for their treachery in attacking Kam. I'm going for Sunday because we want a day on the weekend, because that's when most people are available, and the Rox are playing on saturday so that day is out of the question. Also if we win, it would be nice to sate our bloodlust, and if we lose, we could use a diversion until game 2. Looking at that cartel's rankings, they're even greener than we are in terms of combat, and stealing. So this is exactly the type of cartel we can take on. I want a roll call right now on who can and will be participating in this offensive.
i would love to join, but i can join in later after the rounds, once i get better. i don't have a problem. actualy, don't put me in your carter. i'll just make it worse. let me get use to this game. thanks
I can make it happen any time during the day. Chances are I will be a bit hungover from game 1 and sitting on the couch with my laptop will be the extent of my capabilities. Three days is plenty of time to get a little army together. One of my keys- don't keep money in the bank unless you're saving for something. Upgrade your pumps, tanks and distribution center. Money in the bank isn't earning you jack.
well, i guess i'm in. They attacked my ass. I will actually be working sunday, but it should be slow. I will have access to a computer hopefully.
I noticed something about Missles and WMDs- if you use them, there is a period of embargo where you don't earn anything for X hours. The more destructive power, the longer the embargo. It might be worth it though, especially if you earn a good percentage of your income through theft.
You embargo the target, not yourself. Personally, I'm not sure about missiles. They're expensive and the area of effect isn't so big. I think chemical weapons might be more effective, since it can help take out their defending forces.
