    I figure that you would have Prefabricated housing.
    I think since they saying 1 way
    The ship would land and would serve as temp housing until the PreFab housing is erected.

    What is the air content of Mars? Can you pull up the oxygen out of it.
    then you will look to drill wells . . or pipe water from the poles where I think there is ice.

    The main thing will be filtering out any microbes and organisms from the water and air.
    maybe even the dirt since one would have to grow something eventually
