That has to be the easiest first couple months EVER. It's going to be funny how after 20 games everybody will be proclaiming them among the greatest teams of all time, then they'll inevitably hit a long streak of tough western conference teams and go on a gigantic losing streak. The Celtics are good, but Rajon Rondo, Tony Allen, James Posey and Eddie House are the only guys on the roster outside the big three that belong in the NBA... and they aren't even all that good. So yeah, three great players, four mediocre and the rest should be in the NBDL. I think they can win the East, but any team coming out of the West should destroy them. All the top Western teams are deep.
Big Baby would have been a lottery draft-pick if it weren't for the fact that the memory of Mike Sweetney was fresh on everyone's mind. Powe has an offensive game that unfortunately has not been tapped yet -- I guess Doc Rivers doesn't like his game. Pollard and Scalabrine are consummate role-players. The depth issue is way overstated, esp. since it was the second unit (with Posey, the best of them, injured) that made big runs in the past two games.
If they lose, it'll be one of those three. No way they lose in Boston. Chicago will win if they're hot, but bad shooting KILLS them. If Lebron goes crazy-go-nuts (and I'm hoping so both because I love Lebron James and have him on my fantasy team), he can perform KG, Ray Allen, and PP combined. Yes, I have that much belief in Lebron's potential. And Orlando is better than many think.
Utility guys are necessary for any team. Think of it this way: without Ryan Bowen (and his defense on Dirk) the Rockets would've been wiped out in five games in the 2005 playoffs.
Think of it the right way, had the Rockets never needed to start Bowen for say a decent player the Rockets wouldve won in 5
