Not having Landry is really getting to be a problem. Being day to day is not good for the team. I hope he can at least be back for the Utah game because he will be needed for that game.
I HAVE SAID THIS 3242323 TIMES aaron brooks is rafer v2.0 fact: cant defend evidence: burned and toasted by Derrick Rose. Anyone see that dunk by Rose? CYPD is onto Rose for that right now I think. Rose is charged with assault and abuse and violence in the parking lot and the paint fact: he can't shoot evidence: 1-7 against cavs, 1-7 today fact: he can't pass evidence: did anyone see that one handed bounce not caring at all casual "pass" to scola today? I think noah just took it as if it was a ultraslow pass to the referee. noah must have wondered when he did become to ref receiving such gentle bounce passes. fact: he can't make plays when did u see hiim driving and kicking or any passes in the paint? all assists were along the perimeter which meant they were just swings to the open man. fact: aaron CHUCKS up worse shots than Larry Hughes evidence: see that blowby past drose in the 4th q? he just chucked the ball up to the glass and hoped it would go in. fact: aaron is the worst shooter in the team now that rafer is gone and yet he takes more shots than scola who is the best shooter in the team. evidence: aaron shot as much as scola did yet he is a 40percent shooter. he has absolutely no business taking up more shots than scola. will the real point guard please stand up? please stand up? please stand up? *kyle lowry jumps up* __________________
One game, 6-1 since the whole Tmac thing. I'll take it, shoulda won this one for SURE, but we didn't. We have to move on to play the Twolves and still correct a lot of problems if we want to be contenders. Sure we can get past the first round, but so what if we can't get further than that. Gotta work on some thing, Brooks has to be fearless if he is going to start, Artest has to trust his teammates, Adelman has to make quick adjustments. It's okay though, 6-1 WITHOUT LANDRY. People forgetting Landry already and no Chuck Wagon tonight.
Lowry could be a starter sooner, under the Brooks we had two games without a filed goal within four and six min period, that is not good news for a start point guard.
the fans are there mid game, just arrive late and leave early, they can't be too worried about cost if they buy expensive tickets to only watch the 2 and 3rd qrtrs...
Clutch, It would be nice of you to let me know why my posts are not worthy of having it's own thread and yet so many others that offer nothing are worthy.....you're feeding the fire by allowing those others to stand, doing nothing is a way of saying they have a legit argument. It really kills the quality of this board, it's one the the better ones when it comes to news and information, but there's so many knowledgeable and long time fans than never post anything because it seems like knee jerk reactions have more value here than rational discussions....
and to add to this, i feel like Yao, you see someone do something they aren't suppose to, but the refs let it go, time after time, so you finally decide to return the favor and the first time you try you get called for it! This is like flopping on forums man, it needs to be controlled by the refs or it's going to continue to get out of hand.
... I was thinking before I logged on... "How about a sticky thread after each game allowing for comments directly to players, coaches, owners, etc.; i.e. Then I logged on and found this thread. Similar to knee-jerk reactions IS the compulsion to want to tell somebody on the team just what you think they did right or wrong. It could/would go something like this (in no particular order): To Artest: "Please don't start the 'It's on me' thing. We've had enough of that the last few years. It may be on you because you decided that only you could save the game. Was there no body else open the whole time you had the ball in your hands in the last few possessions of the game? Try looking at tapes and see what the fans see -- a lack of ball and player movement. To Adelman (and staff): It's on you to figure out this Yao-fronting defense. How long will you let the team appear to have no direction or plan when it occurs? This is how "some" players end up thinking "It's on me" and throw up desperation shots at the end of games. And before this happens it appears that the team defaults to "It's on Yao" and all player and ball movement stops. It's your job to yell at anyone and everyone who lets this happen. To Barry: Don't try to be what you used to be. Don't throw bad passes. Be realistic as to what you can do without causing unnecessary turnovers. To the team in general: You are showing good potential. But you've got to understand that the "team" has to be the "go to" at the end of games. The quicker you all decide that no one player should be responsible for closing out games, the quicker you'll free yourself from a crippling mentality. Yes, Yao is the foundation for the offense, but the "team" must adapt to a defense that tries to shut that down. It may be that Yao has to stay further away from the basket when fronted to allow for driving to the basket, etc. Surely, you and the coaches can come up with some plan... surely?? As long as the comments are kept relatively clean and respectful it would provide a quick and easy thread for Rockets personnel and players to see what the fans want to say to them directly without wading through fan arguments and pure game analysis. Just a thought.
It will be interesting if we can put the before/after posts side by side from these fair weather fans. This is the NBA, and the Rockets is an average team, they will won some and lose some, so just get used to it.
