You're paying EXTRA for beef or chicken flavor?? Dude, you're getting screwed. :D

Hell, I can beat that. Two fast food ketchup packets + one bowl of water = tomato soup. Throw in a soy sauce packet for an Asian flavor or a Taco Bell hot sauce packet for a little Tex-Mex action...

As for ticket prices, they have to be that high because Les Alexander is in one of the worst arenas in the league and he also has one of the crappiest arena deals in terms of revenue sharing. He doesn't have the luxury box revenue that most other teams have. I don't have much hope that ticket prices will drop substantially when the Rockets move into the new arena, though, because he'll want to make up for the money he is supposedly losing as soon as possible

I took my son to the Hornets game, and paid $60 a ticket. I thought it was well worth it.

I was there too, but a friend of mine had tickets. Ran into RM95 and Drewdog in the parking garage afterwards as well! Austin Rocketball lives in fat city!

is it me...or does this not sound like the most scientific of studies???...basically he's throwing out some qualitative factors about the city and extrapolating quantitative data out of it.

Hey DaDakota. How can you go to all those games?!?!? Work? Well, have fun! The SBC Center is nice!

    About Rockets tickets...
the capacity of the Rockets arena is very small...like 16000? That's very small...

    AND ABOUT PRICE...
If the Knicks' tickets are so expensive, why is it always sold out?
Same with Sacramento. Those people are really supportive of their team. Arco Arena is LOUD. But their tickets are expensive...i guess we're more Conservative.

I think that the marketing mini-plans are nice. I wouldn't buy them... but they are good.

I think the Main Reason is because the Rockets haven't been to the playoffs in so long. No one cares. Attendance has been growing because of Yao Ming and we are also winning.

And next year, we have our new arena!!! WITH A HAKEEM THE DREAM OLAJUWON STATUE...EVERYONE WILL WANT TO SEE THAT!

There is another reason that no one ever brings up.

If you watch the local news shows, there is very little talk about the Rockets other than a quick mention if they happen to have played that day.
It's all about Texans, Astros(even though it isn't baseball season),college ball, and then if you are lucky, they might mention the Rocket's score and if you are really lucky, they might show a short clip of a play while they are telling you what the score was.

That is not the way to show the casual fan that the team is worth supporting...as far as most casual fans are concerned, the team hasn't changed much in the last few years other than adding "some Chinese guy".

I don't know alot of real sports fanatics, most of the people I know get their information about the sports teams from the news. When I try to talk to them about the team, I normally get blank looks or they parrot off some out of date information they may have heard somewhere.

If my memory serves me correctly, during the championship years, you could depend on hearing about the Rockets just about every day...with full stories being devoted to them.

Thats what the TV and radio stations need to get back to doing.
Get the word out, email or call the programming directors at all the mass media stations and let them know we want to hear/see more about the Rockets!

Oh yeah, also...the ticket prices could be lower..it would make it easier for me to go to more games. :)

Hmm...like the Spurs! I was watching their NBC local television station and they had reports on David Robinson and stuff. Maybe because they don't have a football team... but the Texans are terrible...not too bad...but still 70,000 people go to the games! That's a lot of people! You are right. There is much more coverage on football than basketball. This website is the best source.
