    I love Yao.

but when is enough enought??? he's injured every year.

cool he brings us a lot of money in. but do rocket fans every get to touch that money? NO

that just my take. i don't know what to do with him. But in my god honest opinion, Yao will never win a NBA finals as a rocket.

I'm choosing to be optimistic. I think McGrady will be 100% when he comes back.

And with Yao having a full summer off, and Tmac coming back, we rockets fans will forget the 08-09 TMac, and this team is gonna take off.

When Jerry West says a healthy Rockets team is just as good as the Lakers, I have no choice but to agree. I mean, we are talking about the Logo here.

Why do you even bother watching any season if that's your attitude? It's ok to be realistic as far as injuries but sounds like you already gave up before the season even starts.

No one talks about Yao's PnR defense, which is a definite weakness along with his inability to render the fronting irrelevant since we can't lob the ball to him. Also, he continuously brings the ball down to his waste. Watch Gasol as he keeps the ball above his head.

We can't win close games with Yao on D, why, the smart teams will run PnR with their scorers against Yao to get easy shots from 2 or 3. Our defense was better without Yao. Imagine a 6'10 shot blocker with athletic ability.

My point, Yao is not the focal of our championship aspirations. He is definitely a chess piece and we need to use him as such. That's why our back up center is crucial to our success.

defense doesn't win games, IT'S A COMBINATION OF OFFENSE AND DEFENSE

Odd, I see that when Yao is in the game, teams don't take it to the hole as much. Those guards have a lot more trouble getting a clean shot off.

His shot is flat because his legs are in bad shape, but that doesn't have anything to do with game impact. He needs health more than anything because when healthy, he can be a 6'9 pg. he gives you the ability to play brooks and another scorer at the 2 and be really effective because he's a great decision maker with the ball.
