Sorry if I'm bursting your bubble... but I count:
    1. Points
    2. Rebounds
    3. Assists
    4. Steals
    5. Blocks

    What is the 6?

Who's better out of Artest and Kirilenko? A lot of people say Artest is top 15.

    Iverson
    Bryant
    James
    Wade
    Dirk
    McGrady
    O'Neal
    Garnett
    Duncan
    Billups
    Nash
    Brand
    Gasol
    Carter
    Shaq
    Yao
    Ben Wallace
    Manu
    Amare

I think those guys are better than him barely making him a top 20 player. Not bad.

Here is the first 5x5 thread Link

    Hakeem had 4 5x5 from 91-92 to 93-94

When you watch AK dominate games like he did last night, you know why he's a max dollar guy. You know why you wouldn't trade him for anyone but a small handful of players in the league. Just to prove my point, here's the list of players I would trade AK for, straight up. (In no particular order)

    Tim Duncan
    Kevin Garnett
    LeBron James
    Dirk Nowitski
    Amare Stoudemire
    Steve Nash

Anyone else is either too old, or not good enough. Yes, that includes T-Mac. I am not interested in ball hogs that dominate the ball so much that when they have to sit the team doesn't know what to do and goes 4-12.

when i posted last night i said he did it 5 or 6 times, and then when i went and counted i could only find 3. good to know the real answer finally (which i think i now remember as being right). i wanna say he had 6 other games where he either came up 1 block or 1 steal short, b/c i remember thinking he had a shot at it a total of 10 times (4 + 6 near misses).

edit: i just read the rest of the old thread and you had already said that about 6 near misses.

and i thought i remembered from the original article that some weird guard had done it. thought tim hardaway, but it was tinsley. i'd love to know how he got 5 blocks in a game, though.

anyone have any idea how to get hakeem game logs from before 91-92? it would seem he has to have at least a few more 5x5's in there somewhere as his biggest steal years were before 91 and he damn near averaged 5 blocks in 89-90 (4.6).

T-Mac is not a ball hog. Hes usually our only scoring option. Especially the way this year has ended up with the low shooting percentages. If someone is hot he will give them the ball, if someone is open for a alley oop or easy shot he gives it up. He creates shots, no one else can, and they cant seem to run any plays that get anyone else open, so T-Mac has to shoot.

Most likely, but any other deal and I'd be hanging up on them.

Schwa, weren't you the one who said the Jazz > the Rockets in 2004?

My last place fantasy team will take it.

I agree, probably the best line of the year.

    I agree with emjon totally.

Nba is just spoiling you guys. you just can't apreciate something special of a guy who doesn't dunk over Ben Wallace or jacks up 40 ppg.

There is more to basketball than that.

So let me get this straight... You basically are saying that AK is EQUAL to, or GREATER than those guys?!?!?
AND you are saying that AK is DEFINATELY better than Tmac???

If you were to ask every body on this board who would trade tmac for AK, you will be the only person willing to do it.

The only one i would give you on that list is Nowitski, and thats still a big stretch.

Well that's what were talking about right, the NBA? If we were talking about international basketball, it would be in a different forum.

Moreover, you are almost definitely devaluing the NBA's characteristics. It's not just about jacking up shots or dunking at every opportunity. Certainly that exists, but there's a lot of excellent basketball played in the NBA every year, too.

U replyed to the wrong post? I just said that it is what's spoiling some of you to the level that u can't even appreciate such quality allaround game AK had.
Nobody convinced me that saying "AK is underrated" isn't moronish.

If he was always healthy or if he had 3 consecutive seasons of 70 or more games, then you could make a good case.
