Apparently he has made more free throws than field goals for his career. Is there anyone else in NBA history that have this statistical anomaly? I dont count people who have like 1 free throw attempt a game. It has to be someone with at least 4 free throw attempts a game

I think he's prob the only one to be top 5 in scoring 4 straight years and have this stat.

At the end of the day he is 60% ts every year, in other words he's a scoring machine.

He does shoot a ton of 3s but largely his Fg% while not elite is far from bad.

    He's a career 44/37/86 guy

That's pretty good when your dropping 25/5/5+ every year.

At equal age, Kevin Martin

And for his career, Dwight Howard if he had hit them at least at a 71% clip versus Harden's 85.6%.

Should fouls just be instant points?

You would have booed our taking Robert Horry over Harold Miner.

You might want to consider following figure skating over basketball.

They should just make people who commit fouls in the NBA have to face Tina Turner's Thunderdome wheel:

    That'll learn 'em good.

Yeah but if he were hitting them at 71.6%, he wouldn't get all those FT's from teams deliberately hacking him and sending him to the line

can you read? i said i dont watch a bball game JUST to see ft's. it's kinda like watching a football game w/ a bunch of field goals but no touchdowns.

guess you get excited and enjoy the hack-a-whoever?

i follow the rockets, not harden. ok? the thing is, w/ harden on the team that i had followed long b4 harden got here, the product they deliver to me isnt that enjoyable.

do you really feel harden's iso style is that exciting to watch? not me.

I would expect a Rockets fan would enjoy seeing the Rockets win. I would thus expect a Rockets fan to be glad their star player is aggressive and gets to the line, as that certainly helps the Rockets win. if you want to argue the NBA should change some rules around free throws to make the game more fun to watch, I don't know if I'd disagree with you - but that's a different conversation and a different thread. With the rules the way they are now, I'm not frowning on Harden's ability to get to the line - which is what this thread is about.

ofc. but have they won enough?

i am not criticizing harden's ft's. i am just saying i dont enjoy his style of play. it's a personal preference. just like i enjoyed yao's style of play more than i did shaq's.

take it easy. not everything others say is a knock on your beloved james harden, alrite?

Harden is a Jedi when it comes to getting fouls.

the dude getting to the line is helping your team win - that's a GOOD thing. like I said, if you don't care so much about the Rockets winning and are just into athletic aesthetics, check out figure skating.
