For whatever reason, this has become the best first round matchups in recent memories. The Bulls-Heat matchup is the best, followed by Kings-Spurs matchup. Several of the Lakers-Suns games have become instant classics. The Cavaliers-Wizards and Pacers-Nets matchups are more interesting than I originally expected. The only really lousy games are between Dallas and Memphis simply because Memphis sucks.

Even the Nuggets-Clippers and Pistons-Bucks mathcups provide several very entertaining games so far.

You mean Maxwell's betrayal, right? ;)

I have noticed that the Lakers have scored 99 points in each playoff victory against the Suns...I thought that was pretty interesting...

I want the Suns to win. down 3-1 and steve nash takes over to take down Kobe and Phil. that would setup a Cassell vs Nash matchup and this will PROVE TO THE WORLD that Cassell is the MVP. Nash helped the Suns to a great record. Cassell brought a franchise back to prominance that it didnt have in 30 years!

how is the Laker series more exciting? you can't beat Reggie Evans/Kaman saga!

Well, I didn't say it was more exciting. It was just a little interesting factoid that I noticed.

Now that you mentioned it, though, the Lakers/Suns series probably is the most entertaining first round matchup. That facial that Kobe had on Nash was worth the price of admission by itself.

I'll admit that Sam is probably my favorite player in the playoffs this year, though. Every move he makes is just so effortless. It's like the Nuggets don't want to play any defense on him...
