I should have initially but did not & it snowballed. This year it happened to me twice: - i went to lake Tahoe for a ski trip...land in Reno, rent a car, drive to Tahoe schlepping all my gear only to find a couple i know using my townhouse (we'd been there together before & they know where i keep the keys). - i arrive in Paris this April & find my cousin still using my place. I'd given him permission to stay there while he was in France for an internship. He was to return back home in Beyrouth by then but extended his stay because "Paris c'est magique!"
Oh. i thought you were letting them stay there even though you knew in advanced you wanted to use the place. damn, that' pretty disrespectful of them to use it without your permission or overstaying their welcome. it would piss me off too.

*liquid cash. Renting is a better option when you don't have the means - to the extent you have to compromise on your dream home
