Let just see what a guy like Harryasz can do in the preseason, we already know the worth of the Catos...

I think it is a mistake to assume Cato would be as good as he was in his last two years with us if he came back. He managed to find a groove back then, which is a rare thing for him in his career. To expect he'll just find it again is foolish, imo, since it is much more often the case that he's out of place.

I aint big on Cato, but he's a far better choice from that list I saw than any of those other dudes. But what worries me is that knowing the Rockets they'll go looking for someone who is banking 40 like one of those Davis boys.

I'll take the shotblocker in Cato even though he has no offense. He's smart and tough, plus he knows JVG's system. I saw how Alonzo Mourning altered the finals with his shotblocking and size, Cato is no Mourning but he brings some of those attributes. You would have Yao, Deke, Battier and Cato as 4 capable shotblockers. Howard playing the 5 is a joke unless JVG needs his midrange shot in a small lineup, he can't play defense nor is he capable of blocking a shot even in a highschool game.

yes, when will badiane be able to play? Or, will he ever. He's got such a great body, it's so hard to imagine him not being able to play strong d for small stretches of time. He had a decent showing at the worlds, didn't he? well, i'm crossing my fingers for 07-08

Cato has proven he is coachable to JVG
