613. It took me five seconds to find out on the interwebs. Or you just could of searched yourself on your own tv.
Yeah, exactly, an incredibly small body of work. Dominated? @ Wake Forest: 15/24 136 yards 1 td 3.2 yards per rush 0 tds vs. UConn: 17/26 119 yards 1 td 2 yards per rush 2 tds Hardly dominant. And then Baylor spanked Northwestern Louisiana State. Sorry, but RG3 hasn't really shown anything close to Heisman potential.
You have to look beyond the stats. For both of those games they were chasing him all over the field and he was creating stuff out of nothing.
No he's not. A team needs to have a chance to go undefeated or have a one loss season and Baylor is considered to do that this season.
I got season tix. TEXAS FOOTBALL FTW I think I'll have spectacular seats this year, my group was pure seniors/grad students...
Heisman voters rarely look beyond the stats, if at all. Heisman candidates have to put up good stats on an undefeated or 1-loss team (at worst). I can't see both happening for him. With that said, I like RG3 a lot and I think he's going to get a lot of love from the NFL when he comes out (ex: Kirby Freeman). CFB can't get here soon enough. TEXAS FIGHT!!
Even though he was so effective the 2nd half of the championship game, I'm going to be cautiously optimistic (as always) about him. He has all the tools and has already proven he can be brilliant in pressure situations. The question is consistency, and I'm not buying my Gilbert jersey until he proves he can do it week after week. To be honest, I'm more excited about what our defense can do. Muschamp has been money for us ever since he got here. Both #12s are gone, but it just clears up space for the next generation of legends to step up.
My only problem with college football is that - unlike the NFL - they have their exhibition season AFTER the regular season.
Since I went to school at Sam Houston, I don't really have a single team that I pull for. I'm just a big fan of college football in general. Always root for the Texas teams. My wife and her family are from Nebraska, so I usually find myself pulling for them (really trying to swing a trip to Lincoln for the UT game this year.) The NFL has really pulled me over in the last 10 years, mainly due to fantasy football, but College Football was my first love. Can't wait!
I'm looking forward to a great year of college football...I can't wait for UH... Being in SEC country now, I'd like to catch a Vols game and maybe an Alabama game...we'll see..
Tim Tebow won it on a 3 or 4 loss team, I believe. Then again, he had the benefit of being Tim Tebow, which somehow adds a bunch of votes regardless of stats or team performance.
