Not bad a parallel, though it's mostly accurate for hardcore fans, whereas in my belief there are levels of fandomship(is that a word?), just like in a couple there are friends and relatives. One could give a parallel for the trolls/bandwagoners, to the friends of a friend of the couple, or the local gossiping queen. Maybe they don't not the situation at hand the best way, but sometimes come up with "ready and tested" solutions. Really though, I've seen posts of praise and discontent too much already. I'd hope not ALL those are trolls/bandwagoners(huge number if so). I want to believe that it's just the nature of lots of the(not hardcore) fans to get excited easily. Else, it could be one of the problems for the team. Were I live inner conflict within the teams doesn't let them to excel, they'd rather poke each others eye than concentrate on winning with common goals. A team must be really great to overcome such obstacles if they exist(cause if they do they'll carry on to Newspapers and such bruising the team).
