How long has your team been in the lottery? What makes you think you are on the upswing? When have the Nuggets ever been on an upswing?

nah, i know this summer we probably dont sign anyone and next season we suck. but after that, when we get our 2nd rookie and have our cap room (2003) - thats when we start gettin busy and loading up our team.

well to be honest we did go from 11 wins to 23 to 35 to 40. that was an 'upswing'

right now we are down. waaay down. next year will suck too but then we start going up. draft picks + FA + dice and maybe a trade or something.

Haven't got much left to trade though....

I reckon *that* trade was pretty good for the Nuggets.

You offload a whining cry-baby PG who loves to shoot at barely over 40%; and get back cap relief!
Losing LaFrentz might seem a little bit hard to stomach, but let's face it, the guy is no franchise player and is not exactly a 'banger' on defense (more of a pure shot-blocker) and doesn't really have a low-block scoring game!

I can't stand Howard, but that's only because of his ridiculously big contract that he just doesn't deserve! As far as a player goes, he's as good as NVE or LaFrentz (probably better than either of them) and the fact is that he's only there for a few more seasons anyway!

Let Howard and McDyess do the scoring next year and pick up a young PG in the draft (could be scoring the number 1 pick if the balls bounce the right way) and the Nuggets might be better off then they previously were!

(I can't believe a Rockets fan just said something good about the Nuggets!)
