Without those losses to Golden State and Denver we are 20 and 25 only five games on the negative side of .500 with a game against minnesota ahead as well as winnable ones against philly, cleveland and atlanta. Instead we are 9 games bellow .500 and need that win over Minnesota to have any hopes at a playoff run. With the way the Rockets are playing right now, I have a feeling those two losses will really come back and haunt us.
That's funny because some of us are worried these wins are going to come back to haunt us. J/K ... nice post Elienator. Hard to believe the Rockets have played so well lately and have made such a nice turnaround.
Doesn't the fact that we recently beat Portland, Maimi, and LA make up for the fact that we lost to Golden State and Denver??? We were not expected to beat those three first tier teams, while we were expected to beat Golden State and Denver (although Denver in Denver is no gimme). Hey if we win the next 37 games (setting an NBA record), we will have a 55-27 record and make the playoffs, no problem If we can beat the NBA's best teams, the rest of the league should be a piece of cake (your logic), right??? The point I am trying to make is that the Rockets are playing better than expectations. Cranking up the expectation another notch may be little more than wishful thinking.
