Thanks. Your words are much appreciated. I enjoy being a guy working with the younger kids because lots of my kids need a positive male role model, and there aren't many guys in education until the kids reach middle and high school. Also, I love my kids to death. Of course they can get annoying, but so can adults. At least kids have a reason to not know any better! For 9 months out of the year, they are my children and I'd do anything for them. But, I certainly do appreciate and need the time off when it comes each May/ June. All in all, another great year. I just hate that by the time football season is back, it'll be time to go back to work. :(

I feel ya. I work almost exclusively at a couple lower income schools in Austin and its sad to see all the anger that I assume comes partly from what you said. Some of these kids want to fight me just for doing my job.

It's not even their fault that they're jerks a lot of the time. Male role models are so underrated. By the time they get to HS age, there's not much you can do but emphasize cause and effect and rational thinking.

And what's up with the popularization of criminality?
