If jrue leaves Milwaukee in offseason, MIL may just be that team. They’d be a cap strapped team with no PG no FA options or picks.

KPJ, Tate, and Wood are the starters going forward with KJ Martin getting significant minutes off the bench. Need to see how Dante plays with this group to see if he can be part of the young core off the bench with Nwaba, Brown, KJ and possibly DJ Wilson.

This team has elite defenders, (Nwaba, Tate, and Exum) athleticism, ( Porter jr, KJ and Nwaba) scorers (KPJ and Wood) and toughness (Brown, Nwaba, and Tate). We will have growing pains but if this core sticks together and add another blue chip type player man the Rockets future is bright.

    The foundation is coming together.

Members here keep writing Nwaba, Sterling moving forward beyond this season as if they are under contract. They are free agents that will get
some attention on the open market, just an fyi. But it would be nice to retain one or the other. I prefer "The Sterling One."

Roster rounding out to be (21/22) but subject to change:
    PG) Wall.................DJ Augustin
    SG) Porter..............Eric Gordon
    SF) House..............Tate / KJ Martin
    PF) Wood..............(KJ Martin)
    C) Olynyk

Rockets team salary set to be $98M if you include Avery Bradley (team option) and DJ Wilson (qualifying offer). Exercise the TO & renounce the
rights to DJ Wilson and the Rockets can be looking at something like team salary around $86M once holds are lifted.

I said earlier this season that it looked like Riley might be squeezing Olynyk to come back this off-season for less money since BamBam,
Precious and KZ Okpala were setting up to take over. I'm ok with the Rockets re-signing Kelly O for the $12.5M or so that he makes this season. The money that would have gone to Avery B and QO to DJ Wilson.

Add a Frank Kaminsky, plus draft Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green or Kuminga.....sneak in a Corey Kispert.

Rockets will look very good next season. Ok, I've seen enough, let's play Lamb, Armoni Brooks and Occeus now. Tank some more.

    I feel like
    Wall - Augustin
    KPJ - EGo
KMJ - Tate yes, I would start KMJ over Tate
    Olynyk - Wilson
    Wood - Patton

    is a good foundation.

Add somebody like Bamba, OPJ, or Looney plus a high draft pick to that group = you have a playoff team.

If that team gels and Wall learns to PASS the ball AFTER THE FIRST QUARTER, that team could make some noise as they mature (a la Phoenix).

Just a bright side outlook ;)

Cade looks like if Eric Andre and Steph Curry had a baby.

Both Tate and KJ play like undersized forwards.

So Rockets need to add some oversized guards.

    Cade or Mobley.

Mobley's passing and ball handling are excellent, especially for a 7 footer.

For the most part team played hard and it was fun to see the young guys compete. Was it me or was KPJ kind of on autopilot tonight? Just didn't seem to be focused for stretches, but that could because he was playing with 3 other point guards (not sure what Silas was doing there).

Porter spent unusual amount of time playing down in the paint in the 2nd half.

Not sure what Silas plan was there.
