On the anniversary of Kobe's 81, I have to ask....Kobe's 81 or Wilt's 100?

If Kobe had played in 1962, he could have scored a 100, maybe more. I think he's a rotten human being, but you gotta give him his due. That 81 points is the most remarkable feat in NBA history.

idk michael jordan's 63 in the playoffs in an era that didn't make it so easy for guards to score is pretty remarkable

Wilt's points were basically layups on undersized white guys. Kobe, as a SG, had to hit a lot of outside shots in order to get his 81.

    Kobe's 81 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wilt's 100

I'd say a lot of things jordan did back in the day were pretty remarkable but he's already considered the g.o.a.t by many...so there's no real sense in bringing him up lol..

    Did you see that game?

It was bullsh1t. The Bulls exploited a problem with Illegal Defense...and the NBA changed the rules later. The exploit was that you had to defend within 5' of your opponent. The fix was to create zones...you had to be 1 zone away from who you were defending.

In the 63pt game against the Celtics, the Bulls knew they had zero chance of winning the series, so they exploited the 5' rule...they put all 4 non-MJ players at the halfcourt line in a corner and MJ went one-on-one against the Celtics from the other half court corner.

That 63 pts was bullsh!t. And they lost.

After running Shaq and Malone and Payton and Phil Jackson out of town, 4 Hall of Famers, which ended up in Chucky Atkins being his backcourt running mate, THEN he wants the financial commitment? What a doofus.

But that doofus's 81 point game is more impressive than Wilt's 100

If Kobe played in Wilt's time, he would average 81 points a game. Kobe's 81 in this era is by far more impressive.

    81>>>>>100

And what people forget is Kobe could have scored 100.

When he had 62 in 3 quarters, he was on pace to crack the century mark, but chose not to.
