I loved our team with CP3. I did not want him traded. It doesn't mean I miss him either. I mean, him being healthy last year was a product of not having to iso as much as he did in Houston and having a hell of a break from March - July. He was never healthy here in Houston. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate what he did as a Rockets, however, it doesn't make me miss him just because James Harden is asking to be traded.

 

I figured that would be the first thing on your mind of you are an actual Rocket fan.

I've been a rockets fan since 1974-5 when I was 5 or 6 going to the summit to watch them play.

CP3 played one season for the rockets. why should I miss him? Hell I miss Stevie franchise dribbling out the clock then passing to Cat for a ill advised 3 pointer more than I miss CP3.

I wasn't a CP3 fan before he got here but bit my tongue when he was here and cheered for him like I have every player who wears the rockets red. When CP3 was here he was OK. Not great. Couldn't stay in front of his guy on defense and ended up being hurt again at the most inopportune time.

By your rational I should miss Westbrook too! Sorry. Same applies. Wasn't a fan before. Cheered for him while he was here. But I won't miss him now that he's gone.

Was Steve Francis a leader of a team that led us to the WCF and the best season a Rocket fan experienced since 1995?

It was so obvious the type of culture change CP3 implemented as soon as he got here. From Harden mimicking CP3's training and diet where he became the most lean he ever was during the 2017 off-season to the defensive mindset of the team. It was a culture change that was so welcomed on this team. CP3 is missed by real Rocket fans.

 

I liked CP3. I guess missing someone is OK, but this feels a little unhealthy. Need to look to the future ... or just the present for that matter.

This season alone already so much changes. Hoping to some stability and continuity.

Are you serious? The 2018 season was the most impressive season for the Rockets in our entire franchise outside 94 and 95.

And CP3 was the mental vocal leader of that team. Of course he is one of the most important okayers in our franchise's history.
