Last season Morey found Delphino who played way above expectations
This season it appears that he found Casppi who may very well play way above expectations.

I think part of it as to do with putting the player in a system that fits his style. Casppi is a shooter but as we have seen in the pre-season he is more than just that. I think this system fits Casppi like a glove. It's a free flowing system that allows an offensive player to get into a rythem and play in rythem throughout the game. Seems perfect for Casppi.

If you put Casppi in a system like the one JVG ran, where every offensive play was micromanged and the ball was constently being slowed down, I don't think Casppi would be anywhere as near as effective as he is now.

Done a bit of checkup on Casspi's stats, looks like the guy has been improving year over year on pretty much every category of his game.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4628/

    2009–10 Sacramento 77 (game played) 31 (game start) 25.1 (MPG) .446 (FG%) .369 (3P%) .672 (FT%) 4.5 (RPG) 1.2 (APG) .7 (SPG) .2 (BPG) 10.3 (PPG)

The field goal and 3Pts percentage is pretty good. 3Pts % is about the same as Delfino, but FG% is quite a bit better, meaning this guy also have mid-range game.

Looks like he is quite motivated playing for Rockets, maybe he can have a break out year improving to a 12 PPG / 6 RPG or better and be Rockets starting PF.

For a restrictive system, a player like Casspi can do well also if his role in the offense fits his skill set. If a player is in the wrong restrictive system, they will play poorly as Casspi has in the past. The Rockets free flowing system allows a wide range of players to do what they do best offensively. Based on what I've seen, Casspi looks to have been in bad systems, but we really won't know how well he plays for the Rockets until he has a bunch of regular season games under his belt.
