I feel like this guy is kind of having his moment right now and is in for a big year in 2015. Maybe not big statistically, but he seems like he's turning into Shane Battier part 2, the ideal glue guy for your team, a quasi-stretch 4 who can do a lot of things on the court and come up big when it counts. He's currently the leading scorer in Eurobasket tournament, just dumped 29 points on 60% shooting, with 6 rebounds, 5 assists. Too bad we couldn't hold onto him.
By the way, for all the jokes about Sacramento this summer, they did a phenomenal job working his deal. Two years for $6 million per year. Kyle Singler got 5 years for $25 million.
Yeah but he quietly improved significantly last year. Increased his field goal percentage to 48%, shooting 40% from behind the line. Just think maybe Morey maybe made a mistake throwing him aside.
There absolutely a 0% chance he would be able to contribute even slightly to a championship caliber team.
He wanted to be in sac, now he is. That's probably all there is to it. Morey's only mistake is not working for the team Casspi loves. Also, looks like his gf lives in LA, so that certainly helps his state of mind.
IIRC, he was actually pretty decent last year in Sacramento. But he was terrible in Houston. Do not want.
I enjoyed Casspi's time here. He was an okay bench player but an excellent cheerleader! I just think we put him in the wrong role for our team. He isn't someone that can be counted on to contribute 15-20 mpg to put up 10ppg, 5rpg, 3apg and at least decent shooting and defense. He is someone that you are comfortable in garage time that they won't screw up too badly. A very good 10th player off your bench on a championship team. He can do a lot of things on the court but not really good at any of them. But it was pretty cool having him around! Guys really seemed to like him. I mean, the Kings basically gave Omri a good sized contract to be bffs with Cousins! LOLOL
Delfine was awesome. I wish we had him in his super duper prime. I also wish he never got injured when he clobberd KD on that slam face jam.
