Dude can shoot the 3, get to the rim, and run the floor in transition. So he is an exact fit for Morey's system. The question is, can he defend other high quality forwards in the league?
Role player. Product of our system. Garcia also is doing well. To be a superstar, you need to be able to dominate at your position and create your own shots. Let's hope he stays hot.
All I am hoping for is to see again the strong performances Omri had during his 2 seasons in Sac against some of the best teams. When I see him in Houston and think of the lowest moments in Cleveland and the mess the situation over there was.
Do you actually know what qualifies a player as "all-star" potential? Creating his own shots! Casspi has a long way to go in that category.
Well, I respect you, but let me not agree with you. In that manner, Howard can not be an All Star as well, as he is rely of a good PG and other teammates to feed him. I might have agree that a rare All star, may have do it all, MJ was of that kind, Kobe and Lebron for a lesser extent. I'm not talking about that category
Feeding the ball and creating shots are two totally different matters. Dwight of Magic had close to 50% of his shots unassisted. Casspi had around 25% of his shot unassisted, which isn't bad. Casspi can create some of his shots but mostly has to rely on his teammates to create for him. Did you actually watch the Euro league this year? Did you see what happened when his Israeli team was depending on him to create??
Most of Casspi's shots this preseason were assisted. The ones that were not, he used a pump fake to lose the defender and get to the rim with a layup or hook shot. So, yes, in some ways the shots he created were also off of assists. Parsons can't create his own shot either, but he's a borderline all star.
I think OC should start at the 4 for sure. Play 4 out 1 in with D12 and then bring in the Turkey. Or vise versa. Those are all-star stats. Can he do it in the regular? Until he doesn't do it from what we all seen, I can't say that he can't. Go OC!!!
Well, take in mind that Dwight, which is a great player, Don't do threes. And he is very much dependent of his temmates to have fair stats(which is great in a team like the Rockets). I'm sure that you would see a huge difference in his stats, when his temmates are a good team player, To his stats when they are not. In that aspect, Omri and Dwight are kind of the same, They need a good and supportive team around them, What lead them to maximize their ability. None of them would succeed, in a team Which is not supportive, or in a bad atmosphere. In that regard, in the last European championship, There was lack of support or a team attitude. Casspi, can not succeed in that kind of a negative atmosphere As it's turn him off. lets cross our fingers, for both, Casspi and Howard And for all the other rockets. Their success, Means, funnier year for us. lets hope that all of them would fulfill Their best of potential
