I don't know about any of you - but I really doubt the chairman of a committee has any influence.

Also - what are the qualifications for being on that committee? Stu Jackson and Garry St. Jean can make it, but Isiah Thomas can't? Has Thomas not failed spectalularly enough to be mentioned in the same breath as St. Jean and Jackson?

I think I know now why Larry Brown didn't choose to sign with the Rockets.

You people just doesn't understand why ROOKIES are being invited do you? Olympics happen like once every 4 years and inviting ROOKIES who will be their FUTURE players is a way to give them a chance to witness what is like and for them to return when call upon whne next big Olympics or World championship comes along. Some older players are just spoiled and doesn't care. By the way, TEAM game usually win and by now, most other countries have caught up with the US and they play much a better team game then the show boat US players. WOnder why they lost with all the talents they still have. If the US really need all the top players such as Kobe, Shaq, TMAC, Vince or Garnett then it's pathetic if they can't win without these players. I mean with the players they have, they can make at least 3 US team.

Definitly! I remembered last year i posted a thread something like Yao needs to be greedy and I posted how he only shot something like 24 shots in 5 games and averages like 5 shots during that span. Then the next day the Chron posted along the line saying give Yao the ball and saying how he averages 5 shots per game during the span.
