So we now know that caltex2's last name is probably Wachowski. Random thread is random.

Look at it this way. Dark yields to light, evil to good, woman to man, moon to sun (like how you can see the moon out during the middle of the day), etc... It's the way things work.

And how do you know that's not what the Wachovia Brothers intended to be the underlying meaning? I can't think of anything else (again, the underlying meaning, not what we know happened in the storyline).

Another way to look at it, Jesus gave himself (yielded) to the rouge rulers of Judea to be unjustly crucified so, as the doctrine goes, humanity could be saved from a merciless enemy. Jesus' story had a major influence on the character Neo and ultimately Zion is saved from destruction because of his sacrifice.

But even coming to this conclusion, I'm still puzzled how Neo could be considered feminine. That's something else to ponder if true but for now the M/F angle makes the most sense imo.

Definitely (in bold). They outthought themselves and it hurt many areas. For example, we get little more character development from The Merovingian and especially his wife Persephone in Revolutions.

But as for the train station, I think it was called MOBIL, alternatively "The Limbo" as that is an anagram for that and thus Neo could not escape limbo until being rescued. And they seemed to be implying that the "real" world was just an outer Matrix, look at how that thing flew through Neo as they reached the Machine City.

That's one of those "why is this movie part so unrealistic" questions you can ask about all movies. Some of you will roll your eyes at me but IMO, the whole idea of being used for "energy" by the machines (a metaphor) is the fact that the WB's may think our reality is controlled like The Matrix (i.e. think Illuminati). Obviously, not in the sense that we're being overlorded by machines but that, as Morpheus states, we're "born into a prison we cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for [our] mind."

He also basically said they wanted to turn the human beings into an energy source (battery), or in other words, a useful tool for exploitation. If this was the Wachovias' intention, I have to agree.

Nice job mocking me, I never did so to you. Fact is that, even if poorly executed as these movies were on a sliding scale downward, they were extremely deep but most people aren't interested in the decoding symbolism in them and that's fine.

But no one can be honest and say to themselves they didn't leave you with much to think about. Someone once said the first movie "didn't ask you think" and I thought it was the biggest joke ever.
