Brooks can be enticed into agreeing to be traded.

1. Find a team that will pick him up if waived. Some crappy team that won't make the playoffs.

2. Tell Brooks we are going to waive him and x team is going to pick him up if he doesn't agree to be traded. Promise Brooks if he agrees to be traded that we will offer him another minimum contract next year.

 

Not saying you're not right about it being too coincidental, but back spasms do just pop up and 2 days ago, Jones may not have been sick.

Yeah, it's more the timing than anything.

It's flu season, so that's believable. Back spasms is a little harder for me to accept.

 

Back spasms are beleiveable. In some cases it's not always just back spasms but you have to realize nba players nearly play games everyday. The wear and tear on there bodies is pretty harsh. There playing intensely every night. Not to mention all the tiring uncomfortable road trips.

I will be super sad if anybody other than Asik goes right now. This is where I suck at being a sports fan... I get way too attached. I'm still feeling some type of way about PPat and Delfino. Blah.

 

Aaron Brooks and Cisco will almost certainly not be traded. The fact that the Rockets have other minimum players like Brewer (with less money guaranteed & no player consent for trades) will keep them out of trade conversations to begin with.

Imagine if say Morey and Hinkie spending hours if not days working a huge trade and Aaron Brooks is involved. After thing is said and done they have to then put the deal in the hands of Brooks and his agent to be the deciding factor???…. Then you want to try and give him an ultimatum or an incentive under the table and risk him and his agent getting upset and leaking this info out to the media.

I just don't see GM's giving players that kind of power to undo all the work they have put in. There is no point of even bringing their names up in deals.
