i dunno much about him other than he can . but can he rebound? last season he played 81 games and 30mpg, only 6.4rbs, this while on a lottery team. i dont want another team where the center rebounds and everyone else "chips in". the pf has to pull in at least 7-8. and trading asik for him alone is wack. get back less value in return
1st of all he will not be there to clog the lane. 2nd, he is underrated rebounder, have you watched his games?
Something worth noting is that Houston can do Asik-Ryan Anderson straight up, and can keep Jeremy Lin. I think I'd prefer that to trading possibly both for Josh Smith, who isn't a good fit offensively next to Dwight anyways.
Agree with this. You do want some great defenders surrounding Howard. Too much issues with foul trouble and overwork on D. Josh Smith is that guy. I'd much rather count on Josh Smith developing a decent corner 3 than I do with Ryan Anderson learning to play proper defense.
Teams are lusting over Asik but the Rockets need to shed Lin's contract too if they are to sign their drafted players and a vet swingman.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's making about half of what we'd end up paying Smith, right? That has to count for something. I think he'd be a decent addition if we're losing Asik anyway, and we do still have to build a bench.
