Never liked Ryan Anderson to be honest. I have rule, dont overpay for 6'10 PF's that can only shoot, they're a dime a dozen. Seriously, we can find so many other stretch 4's for about a third of the cost.

We can get so much more for Asik.

Hes a great backup, which is all we really need. I love Asik, but he does deserve to be a starter on another team. This seems like a plausible deal.

Ryan Anderson isn't half the star player that Josh Smith is, but he is the better fit with this team. His 3 point shooting makes 4/5 of this team extremely un-guardable.

I can't see how Jeremy Lin wouldn't need to be moved as well given Anderson's salary.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what comes of these Dwight to Houston post-moves.

He is a role player. I'd get Smith first.

Anderson and Lin > Smith only.

Give us solid depth and the fit is better.

vasquez was traded and isn't a shooter.

and anderson is also a good offensive rebounder. i'd prefer him to smith. floor spacing would be absolutely dynamite.

DO WANT. Much better fit next to Howard than Smith. If this went down I would like to use the MLE or flip a couple assets for a defensive big man off the bench, though

    Defense or shooter?

I was against the Smith idea but between Anderson or Smith, I'd lean towards Smith.

This might just be Maury leveraging the Hawks on S&T.

Sort of how I feel. I can't stand Josh Smith the player but I don't like Anderson as an 8 million + player.

Shoots 7 threes a game. He's a lot more efficient than someone like Josh Smith.

Ryan Anderson is a terrific option at the 4...but not a fan of trading within the division..
