Omer boxes out and stays in rebounding position while challenging shots mostly via "verticality"-- just be there and jump a little. . Dwight flies around trying to block shots (which is a good thing-- he really changes shots and lowers opponents FG%).

Dwight gets a lot of uncontested rebounds. I think he steals a few each game from his own teammates. :)

I think there was a video by Dwight a few years back where he said he didn't want to box out because it would be harder to get the offensive board.

From a defensive standpoint, the Rockets are much different this year than last. Asik doesn't really contests shots, so he's always in good position to get the defensive rebound. With Howard, he's always going for the block, so his teammates need to learn to box out better.

Two completely different defensive philosophies. Crack Back, man.

He recently gave an interview to a CnnTurk reporter. He didn't talk too much as expected, however he said he understands why Mchale has been giving him less time since there is the best center in the world with tons of experience.

Just wanted to share it. He seems better and cool with his role. Hopefully.

Look at TJones' face. He was clearly depressed about the bad game he had.

I don't see him being traded even next year unless Morey gets the value he wants from him. You guys should know Morey by now. Also, that 15mil doesn't mean damn thing to Les. If Asik is playing well which i don't doubt he will, he will be a Rocket till his contract expires.

People say he is overpaid backup center at 15mil next year, but he was underpaid center last year at 5mil which no one seems to bother mentioning. Put up same #s at Tyson Chandler and made $8mil less last year.

Whether or not he is actually moved, be prepared to hear his name in rumors continuously, until the next deadline.

And of course, cfans will be ready to pounce and overanalyze each and every rumor. Such is our fate

Exactly. I don't get why GMs care, either, as it counts as 8.3 on the cap. The most important aspect.

Would like to see more Omer-Harden exclusive time. He sets the BEST picks for him, and Harden knows exactly how to utilize them.
