If you watch carefully, some of the girls from China dont even have perm teeth.. still sportin the baby teeth
That was already established in the 'Upgrade a Rookie' thread, but whatever now more people are aware.
when i was in college i had a english teacher from America.she looked about 20.but we know that it's not polite to ask a western girl her age(although it's quite common in china)so we didn't ask her.the teacher who took charge of the foreign teachers was my friend.he told me that in fact she was more than 30!!!!!! do you think she was cheating? no,of cause not.becasue she's an american. that is the way you think !
Another good article. Not to keep beating this very dead horse, but those medals are badly tarnished.
Not to say the article doesn't have a valid point... I just want to point out that the talk about preferring watching 18-year-old Liukin to 14-year-old He sounded a little...
That quote stood out to me but not for the same reason. It stood out because that one quote DOES sound like sour grapes. I agree with the rest of the article. But that statement is just stupid. That's like saying... "We prefer the elegant artistry of an 18-year-old Nastia Liukin to the whirling acrobatics of a" Shawn Johnson. Um no, it's called personal opinion/preference.
I don't really care about the sour grapes arguments or whatever. Or even opinions as to whether the age rule should be revoked or maintained. I can see both sides of that argument. What stands out to me is the lack of interest the IOC has in investigating this, and the complete lack of evidence to the contrary (that they are 15+) from the chinese authorities and previous gymnastics event reports. Rules are rules. It's the same as with the BCS system - yeah it can suck, but you agreed to follow them when you signed up for the competition.
Busted. He Kexin is 14. Registration documents uncovered showing ages of 14. The documents were issued by the General Administration of Sport of China. Link to the original find: http://strydehax.blogspot.com/ They were found via the baidu (chinese search engine) cache - which apparently does not update as often as google. In other words, google updated their cached documents and now have the censored version. Baidu, being a poor google knock-off, has not and their cache still shows the original un-altered chinese documents. Busted. By their own "censorized" search engine.
My favorite part: The incredible number of gymnasts born on January 1st. It's like China's not even trying to be sneaky.
Don't you know? April 1st is the one day a year in PRC that all married couples copulate - leading to a spate of Jan 1 births.
